Component Video + Audio Cable for PS2 (1.8-Meter)

Pros: +It is very simple and easy to use
+The cable is just the right length for use in things such as shelves and entertainment centers
+The colors look good
+It works with all games I've tested

Cons: -It seems a tad thick, but that is a cosmetic pet peeve of mine (I'm weird that way)

Other: Whether you are using it with an HDTV or adding a VGA box to use with a monitor, I would recommend this product. It's much cheaper than all the ones available in stores. A must-buy for PS2/PS3 owners.

Pros: - Works like you would expect it work
- Greatly improves picture quality on an HDTV
- Easy to hook up to both PS2 and TV

Cons: - The component ends are a little tight to fit, but workable

Other: Got an HDTV? Just buy this already! It's cheap, it works, and you can say goodbye to the blurriness! Not all games support 480p, but the picture quality will still be improved.

Pros: - It is simple to install (you just have to set the right output in the setup menu)
- Its image is way better than the composite cable in LCD TVs
- Its cheaper than the other cables
- Good Length

Cons: - Bad package (did not compromise the product)
- Even Better price?

Other: - The best way to get a decent image of ps2 with a good price
- Surely a good recommendation
- Do not forget to adjust setup prior changing the cable

Pros: Very good cable. Do what it is supoosed to do. Boost up the quality of the Play Station 2 picture. In my Tv it says 564i resolution. Better than standart cable. Plug and Play. Easy to connect, fits perfectly to the concole. Don't look cheap. Good packing. Picture is great.

Cons: The only one is the lenght of the cable. Not enought for me. You have to be really close to the TV. I'm considering buying wirless controller for perfect feel.

Other: If you have 720p or 1080p TV set, it is a must. Improves picture, great colors. Love it. If you can buy it, you wont sorry.

Pros: It works great! It can output your PS2 video at 720p (and 1080i too!)!
So in this sense this is the utility of the cable :D..
And I am fllu satisfied of this!
There is also a difference from the composite cable also when launching uLaunchELF, that has writings more contrasted and perfect :D..
So it has a better quality in all cases..

Cons: Initially I didn't get it to work :D, then I understood that you should configure the Component output in the PS2 browser (settings)...
Then it worked great :D...
Only negative thing is that sometimes it says "mode not supported" on TV (only in a ELF, absolutely not in game :D!), that was only a black screen (with white writings..)..
I think that was too simple for component :D...

Other: It is great!!

Pros: -It sharpens up text displayed, which is extremely useful for me as I play a lot of RPG's. The slight blurriness caused by my 40" Bravia lcd tv with a normal composite cable is gone!
-Price is excellent
-Engrish on the box is amusing
-Cable colour matches the system!

Cons: -The length of the cable is kind of short, would be nice if there was a 10-foot version available.
-The fit of the cable into the actual ps2 system seems kind of tight. Wouldn't recommend removing the cable too many times in case it damages the input!
-No instructions at all about which setting to use in the ps2 configuration, but was easy enough to figure out with a little trial and error

Other: If you want to make your aging PS2 look decent on a newer tv(plasma, lcd) then just do yourself a favour and buy this right now!

Pros: I bought it to play ps2 in a LCD 32" television and I really liked the result. Works perfectly for its use. The image of ps2 games got really better (very clearer!). The price is just awesome, as everything in Deal Extreme. I bought it from the other side of the world (China to Brazil) and it arrived ok.

Cons: Couldn't really find any.

Other: Buy it if you want your games to have a great image!

Pros: * Waaaaay cheaper than EBGames, Future Shop, Best Buy etc etc.
* Works great on my 50" plasmas.
* Perfect length. Did not need to bundle it up.
* Perfect fit into the back of the PS2.

Cons: * No gold plating.
* As previous poster said, magnifies poorly coloured/coded games.

Other: * Not quite on the HDMI bandwagon yet. All my consoles go through a Joytech switcher (AWESOME!) and then into my 50" plasma via component. Looks AMAZING.

Pros: You will be amazed how much better the PS2 graphics look when you use component cables, even on my SDTV colors are sharper and text is way cleaner.

Cons: The cable could be a bit longer.

Other: If you have a PS2 and you have a TV that accepts component video, you owe it to yourself to buy this cable. It really makes a huge difference.

Pros: - Unbeatable price;
- Cable lenght is enough for my purposes;
- Pluged it into a 40" LCD TV (Samsung Series 6) and it worked like a charm. Sharpness is amazing!

Cons: - Found no cons...

Other: - If you bought a new LCD, LED or Plasma TV set and still play PS2, get this cable to improve image quality! You won't regret!
