Pros: Good manification - use of magnification allows more clear pictures Comes with lanyard for the lens

Cons: Top left corner doesn't get enough light -messes the picture up.

Design could have been better - may be easy to attach but can come out very easily

Lens attachment isn't removable for the case - no belt clip so it'd be uncomfortable in your pocket

Looks awkward overall.

Other: If you need a closer shot you can't go wrong with this.

Hope they make a flash attachment for this.

Pros: really good for zooming in does the job it was made for

Cons: case is not a snug fit, pity really because it is such a nice plastic to make a protective cover out of.


Attachment is VERY loose, already has fallen out.



Case has some sharp edges and cannot access the silent switch because of bad case design

Pros: - Zoom quite far - Nice image, so pretty good lens - Good quality case

Cons: - Hard to hold the phone still when taking a picture. (Every movement is magnified also)

- Lens sits loose in the case

- You have to use a (in my opinion) ugly case

Other: Its nice to have it with you on vacation or something like that. For times when you know youre gonna make pictures. That way you can keep the iphone in the case and slide on the lens whenever you want

Pros: I already have "Snapture 1.4" for iPhone, but the software zoom is insufficient and poor.
This Telescope will extend your zoom easy and simple, and as an extra bonus, you get a plastic casing for your iPhone! :3

Cons: Since there is no Tripod or anything, you'll need a steady hand to get sharp photos.
The holes in the plastic casing for the iPhone buttons is a bit crudely made, and feels too small, but they work.

Other: If you need a cheap zoom device for iPhone, get this one.
There are no other options besides the software zoom from "Snapture 1.4" as far as i know.

Pros: The zoom is pretty incredible. I can go from a whole room photo to a single face.
It does include the plastic case which could cost more money on it's own than the case+lens.
It has a dual function, you can flip the lens around and look through it and it makes a pretty decent pocket microscope!
Or use it as a "telescope" with your iPhone or, just by looking through the iPiece (eye piece ;-) )

Cons: As noted, the lens can fall out of the clip easily. Also, the clip design means you can get light shining into the iphone lens form the side causing lens flares. I find a finger on top holds the lens in place and blocks the light. A bit of black tape would do the same job.
You do need a lot of light to get a good photo and a good sturdy phone mount. However, adding a tripod to the mix would probably just make it look even more ridiculous.

Other: It's cheap cheerful and does what it says. If you want quality photos, go spend a few hundred on a proper digital camera. If you want a toy for your iPhone that looks quite ridiculous, get one of these.

clip for holding the lens broke as soon as i used it.

Other: this would have been good if it hadnt broken within 30 seconds of using it. the case doesnt clip to the the iphone 3g. id avoid this until a better quality version is released

Pros: It works and works very well,zooms quite far and is very clear.
I have the first gen Iphone and it fit like a glove.
The price is fair compared to others I've seen

Cons: As I expected before even ordering the litte plastic c clip that holds the lens on broke off as soon as I put it in my pocket,I knew it would happen why I did it anyway I don't know.
There is nothing to hold the lens in when you slide it on,just gravity.

Other: It works great you just have to not only remove the lens when you're done,you also have to remove the phone from the case or risk breaking is like I did.

Pros: Zoom is great.
I took videos and stills at a stage play and it worked great.
I took close-ups of eagles which turned out great.
Works great for well-lit objects.
I use it solo as a spotting scope.
I use it in reverse for a microscope.

Cons: - The case did not fit my 3gs.
- I cracked the case and eventually snapped the lens off.
- The lens holder separated cleanly from the original case.
- I super-glued (gorilla super-glue) it on a new case.
- Pictures are darker, but I expect that through any add-on lens.
- It is not a zoom: zoom=adjustable focal length.
- It is more of a monocular with focus, or a telescope.

Other: I am very satisfied and I get lots of comments on taking good distance pictures with my iPhone 3gs.
If you can remount it on a good case, like I did, and can treat it gentle, and expect a slightly darker image; then get it. Good price.
