  • Works fine

Pros: Works fine. Cheap. It is a circular polarizer. It does not interfere with the metering on the camera.

Cons: A little disappointed that the filter needs some cleaning when it arrives. It does not work as perfect as the previous polarisers that I had, but it does cut down the reflection sufficiently.

Other: If I needed a good polariser, I will look elsewhere. But if I just need one as part of my walk-around equipment, I rather spend on this cheaper one that serve its purpose.

  • Actually works

    Pros: - Very cheap.
    - Protects your lens.
    - Metal frame is strong enough.
    - Is supplied in a hard plastic box with foam, so you can take it with you without heaving fear of cracking the glass.
    - Does polarize.

Cons: - Thread is a bit rough.
    - Questionable mounting of the glass.
    - Doesn't polarize as good as the expensive filters.
    - The rotating part can be rough in some angles.

Other: For the money, there is no reason not to try is. Just screw it on, turn the filter and you can watch through windows.

  • Polarizer Lens Filter

Pros: E' more economic regarding the other Polarizer Lens Filter that I have found in other stores. It seems sturdy and of good quality. It works as polarizer and it has the small wheel that rotates easy. It has a its plastic box it sturdy, so as to be able to transport it without risk to break off it or to ruin it.

Cons: I expected that l' effect polarizer was marked.

Other: I have not never used other filters therefore I would not know to say if it is a good polarizer or not. But it works, the sky is bluer, the glares disappear… For this price I suggest to try it.

  • Great colour enhancement

posted by ebrium on 14:38:22 G9T 24/09/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It really can polarize your photos. By doing so it takes out 50% of light reflexes, mostly in plastic, metal, water and glass, although any photo in nature will become great. You will be abble to take pictures in the middle of the day as if it where late in the afternoon, as it will enhance and wormify the colours

Cons: no cons in this product

Other: it really does the job, you don't need to by one more expensive latter, as this one really polarizes all the light. Great choice!

Pros: The build quality seems good. I've had no problems with the filter. Excelent results either in modifying the tone of light or removing unwanted reflections.

    Cons: Can't think of any.

Other: This filter can be very usefull. For this price, I really can't think of a reason not to give it a try.

Pros: I am using this to cut down water reflections. I works. But remember that it caus eloss of light 2 stops.

Cons: It feels cheap. And its threads somehow hardly fit to my olympus tube adaptor. It can be due to aluminum tube or filter itself. But it fits.

Other: If you need polarizer filter in size of your extension tubes you need one of these.

  • Massa CPL 52mm Superb and cheap!

posted by IAMTHEFREAKINEL on 06:03:27 G2T 28/02/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: This filter will not stick to your lens, it is put on and removed very easily on both my Canon 50mm II (52 mm filter), and on my 24-85 (67mm filter). The front part also rotates easily.
For the rest it works fine, I can't see any noticable sharpness loss.

Cons: You lose light, about half of your light (1 Stop / F). Also I noticed some different color temperatures when rotating the filter (from blue to yellow). This is normal if you know what a polarizer actually does, and your camera will easily compensate for it.

    Other: Buy this!

  • Massa CPL Polarizer

    posted by Juanjo_adr on 06:45:20 G4T 06/04/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Its a polarizer that makes his work for a very low cost.
A ring can be turned to increase or decrease polarizer effect.

Cons: Sometimes problems to focus using autofocus. Using a long focal distance makes impossible (in my camera at least)to focus using this filter.
Once i dropped and all pieces dissasembled. Not too dificult for mounting again.

Other: Sorry for my bad english and possible mistakes during this review...

  • Circular Polariser

posted by higbvuyb on 06:07:51 G7T 02/07/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It's a circular polarising filter. It works exactly as advertised.
The filter screws onto the end of a 52mm lens. The polariser rotates independently of the screw thread, so that you can use it at any angle.
It autofocuses and meters properly on my DSLR.
Solid build quality, made of strong metal.

Cons: The ring rotates a bit too freely, and the rotating motion is a bit 'grainy'.
The metal has some slight discolourations on the inside.
Like all polarising filters, this will reduce light going into the camrea significantly.

Other: Great quality for a very low price.

Pros: Very good polarizer, I've tested it in many occasions and really like it. The price for one like this in a store is somthing like 50 USD.

Cons: No cons. The product does it's job very well.

Other: Very good product, 1/10th of the price of a street store. It's even worth to try it before buying one if you are not so sure.
