What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Phenomenally bright
Cons: Will die when fed with 8 volts. Very bright for about 10 milliseconds till it died. Do not feed with more than 4.5 volts. Guess how i found this out? Best with different optics from Luxeon devices - not really a drop in replacement for Luxeon LEDs
Other: Will be buying more.

Pros: My first mod! Added one of these into the ELLY flashlight. Went in with no problem, despite my somewhat shoddy soldering job. Great brightness and improvement! Recommend this mod for those just getting their feed wet.
Cons: None that I can think of! I'd always like something brighter, but for the price and ease of installation I encountered, I'm happy with it!
Other: If you want to get into modifying lights, grab one of these and an ELLY, find some basic instructions online, and give it a shot!

Pros: Modded a 3D Gordon flashlight with this Cree. Easy sautering on the star. Strong white tint from the led with the right reflector. I light up a whole street from stop sign to stop sign. Seems will hold 4.5 volt stable doesn't blink. Good heatsink
Cons: Can't think of any !!
Other: A great item for modders only not for direct drive more than 4.5v needs a metal base for heatsinking. If possible a regulator for 3.6-9v at 800ma would be great would increase runtime nicely.

Pros: Bright Cree P4. Emitter is slodered to base. Fits the diameter of my 3w Prolight LED star nicely.
Cons: Dont have similar beam profile as my 3w Prolight emitter hence not a direct replacement without further mod
Other: Excelent LED nontheless
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very easy to upgrade existing flashlights already using luxeon star boards. Very bright! I upgraded my Nuwai Q3 with one and wow!
Cons: I had to file a little off the corners of the star board to make it fit. Needs a heat sink of some sort because it gets very warm
Other: Excellent for upgrading existing flashlights and great value

Pros: - WO colors bins lately (perhaps I'm just lucky?) - QC on the crees from DX have always been good for me.
Cons: -None
Other: Unlike the stared seouls, the QC on these crees seem fine.

Pros: Fantastic! I LOVE them!!! I replaced all the bulbs in our caravan with them. so instead of using 294 Watts of power it uses 31 Watts. big difference! good quality too.
Cons: NONE!!!
Other: very good product, you've got to get some just to try out.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Bright White Perfect for modders
Cons: None
Other: Bright and cheap emitter for those who know how to use it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - It almost has the same lumens with Luxeon K2 led with 4.5V, 900mA, but haven't tested it with more Amps. - The hard acrylic dome lens is better compare to Luxeon which has soft dome lens (easily get dirty, hard to clean). - Very good built, and has aluminum ring around it's emitter to protect it from damage if it's not well fit from the reflector.
Cons: A little bit pricey.
Other: It's really a good emitter.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Led light output is 550lux at i foot, current 0,9A @ 3.6V on heatsink (little overdrive) , colour is white with very little dash of blue (nothing compared to other leds) about 6000K
Cons: no
Other: Cant beat the price for this great led...
Plan to use it in my home for lightning...
will purchase Q5 (test purpose) but but for twice the price i bet it doesn't have twice of the light efficiency/output...
