What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: Decent light.
Cons: SLIGHTLY ringy pattern. SLIGHT purple tint. This is my first Q5, not as bright as I was hoping for. Compared to my EYJ "U2 style" it's not that much brighter.
Other: It's a decent light. Just watch out for the fitment.

Pros: Decent light. FITS Ultrafire 502C.
Cons: SLIGHTLY ringy pattern. SLIGHT purple tint. This is my first Q5, not as bright as I was hoping for. Compared to my EYJ "U2 style" it's not that much brighter.
Other: Decent light, FITS Ultrafire 502C! Deal Extreme ROCKS!

Pros: VERY bright, very nearly as bright as my new R2. Very white tint compared to sku 6090 and notiably brighter(not by a vast margin, but enough to be discerned with the naked eye). Intense white hot spot with typical ringing of the Chinese P60 drop ins. Runs super bright on 6V with gradual warming. Quite bright with 18650's; obviously not as bright with higher input but run time is vastly improved with very little warming.
Cons: After immediately having success with 3 seperate units in my SF G2Z, ran into the typical intermittant light up issues and had to apply a small smear of solder to the lower lip of the brass part on the pill to assure contact with the metal sleeve tube. I drift the solder into the solder used to secure the driver and viola... no contact issues what-so-ever. I have found this to be an easy fix to contact issues with the Surefire line of lights. No issues with UF 502b.
Other: Buy it for any light that will take it. It will not disappoint in the least.

Pros: Wow! This Q5 is about 1.5 timees brighter than the SKU6090 which was my favourite.... was, meaning from now on I'll bee getting this Q5 drop-in instead of the SKU6090 since this Q5 gives a really bright white light and the beam spot is totally illuminated white! Gonna test how long the RCR123s will last powering this lighthouse.
Cons: Heats up much faster than the SKU6090 but for this amount of light, its not an issue.
Other: I'll be getting more of these once I have pushed out the last unit of my SKU6090.

Pros: Very bright. Good clean beam on the one I have tried. Faintly blue. No purple. Even spread. Excellent spotlight. Wide input voltage range.
Cons: Needs a little more side-spill to make it more useful.
Single mode.
Other: It makes an excellent spotlight, but I not sure about its use as a torch for walking/riding. I would like to combine it with another setup with a wider beam to complete the picture.

Pros: Great insert (again) bright enough with 18650's, but really performs with CR123's and RCR123'a as well. Very nice color and intensity with 6V. The 3 I ordered for friends were closely matched in performance.
Cons: Nothing much to say here.
Other: While I feel the R2 drop in is a little brighter and whiter (and now for a few pennies less) this Q5 still offers a good value for the money.

Pros: Bright. Well-built for the price. An unbelievably improvement over the Xenon bulb that used to power my Cabelas XPG.
Cons: None that come to mind.
Other: After two months of practical use, my hat's off to DX. Great product! Note: Readers may also be interested in the R2 single-mode SKU#11836.

Pros: Wide voltage range.
Straight replacement for standard drop-in-unit.
Very bright will low power consumption.
Long life bulb!
Works with CR123A 3.7v Rechargable batteries!
Cons: None!
Other: My $20 flashlight now performs like one that would cost several times this price, all due to this relatively inexpensive ($12) unit.
I am tempted to mod all of them now ;)

Pros: Extremely bright LED light. Much less fragile than the incandescent bulb. The entire assembly drops right in (after removing the outer spring, which pulls right off) and directly replaces the P60 bulb assembly in my Surefire 6p and 6z lights. Light remains usable over the entire life of the batteries. I replaced the bulb in a Surefire 6z with old batteries that would give inconsistent flickering light with the old incandescent bulb, but steady and bright white light with the new LED bulb. Gets the most out of the batteries!
Cons: Pretty hard to find something to complain about. Surefire wants $40 for an LED upgrade bulb, and I doubt it could be worth it when you can buy 4 upgrade bulbs from DX for the same price.
Other: Buy one for every Surefire you own that uses the P60 bulb! You have no reason not to.

Pros: easy drop in I cut the spring down and it fits my g2 great. build quality is good and if I get board with it I can always convert it to a different led.
Cons: over heats after 15 to 20 minuets. I guess that's why S##@fire converted to aluminum heads on there g2LEDs On the flip I found that 18650s don't heat up the LED as much "go figure"
Other: I like the output and if I can get the heat under control I will love it.
