What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Inexpensive
-Simple User interface and easy to use.
-Memory works GREAT to recall the last mode used.
-Drops right into a SF-6P with GOOD heatsinking abilities.
-Low mode is about 50 Lumens total output and extremely useful to extend run times and drop operating temperatures.
-Med mode is also very useful, slightly less output then high but longer run times.
-High is very similar to my 11836, but a less yellow color tint.
-Color tint does not change with lower modes.
-Runs great with RCR123 cells.
Cons: -Ringy output against a white wall
-SOS mode is useless and just gets in the way.
-High gets very warm after 6-7 minutes.
-Batteries can briefly disconnect from shock and impact, causing light to switch modes. Because if this, this module should NEVER be used as a firearm tactical light.
-Doesn't have a ~15 Lumen Low-Low mode... something that can run for ~8 hours and not impair night vision.
Other: -Its a great module that has transformed my 6P by adding lower temperature / longer running low modes, without sacrificing the high output.
-I dont loose any high output going form the 11836 to the 14442.
-Satified completely

Pros: This drop-in is very bright (even with 1x18650, although not as bright as you would expect for an R2).
You get a lot of runtime using the low mode, and it is still very usable in almost all circumstances.
Cons: - Really needs 2 x RCR123s for full brightness in high mode
- Strobe modes are useless! Quit adding them!
- Light sometimes comes on to strobe or SOS mode after being off for a while, which is quite annoying to say the least.
Other: If this didn't have strobes, it would be a 5 star drop in for sure.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I don't like unnecessary modes but the memory function on this makes it a cool feature instead of a nuisance.
If it was attached to a bike, the slow strobe would be good and the fast strobe is really good for drawing attention, so it would be great for emergencies.
It's a bright as you would expect.
Cons: It was hard to find a good casing for this. It was slightly larger than I thought (although, to be fair, the dimensions are given) and I ended up filing it down and putting a thread on it (to properly heatsink it) but having done that it does a fantastic job.
Other: It's good!

Pros: Fit great in my Superfire C1, works well with 18650 (might not be as bright as 2xRCR123s, but it's still PLENTY bright enough).
Cons: There are only 2 (relatively minor) things I can complain about:
1) STROBE MODES! Who needs them???
2) It starts at different modes without explanation. Nothing worse than trying to show someone something in the dark and having the strobe blind them unexpectedly.
Other: This would be an easy 5 stars if it didn't have the stupid strobe modes.

Pros: BRIGHT! I'm happy using this as a bike light. Nice hotspot and side fill, lights up the path or road.
Cons: Gets a bit hot, so be careful how you mount or use it. I don't mind the extra modes but I run it on high, that's what it's for! :D
Other: BRIGHT! I get 2 hours of great runtime using 2ea. 3.6v RCR123A Li-ion rechargeables. It still works after that but the beam is noticeably weaker.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very bright
Memory mode works
Low mode is still EXTREMELY useful
NO artifacts. Maybe I just got lucky with that, though.
Great throw
Cons: Hot spot sure is tight
SOS is kinda useless, but its not a hassle to pass by
Too big to fit my non-DX flashlights(Not sure about real SF yet.)
Kinda runs through my RCR-123A pretty fast, but that is why they are rechargeable.
(Haven't gotten the two hours other reviews have claimed.)
Other: Get it. Even if you don't like flashlights or have a body for it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: good bright , white and clear beam.
Cons: only usefull 3 modes , strobe (for night clubbers) and sos is gadget.
3.6 volt is to low to drive it.
use only drive at minimum 4.8 volt to have 3 modes.
Other: very different drive ! test them before go to caving ..for choose your battery .

Pros: This unit is fitted perfect on my Surefire M2 , it is OP and bright in center , i use it with my rechargeable lith ion thrustfire, It got warm after 20 minutes.
Cons: I got this item 6 hour ago, I tested it on my M2 and it got warm after 20 minutes, I did not have a chance to let it stay on for long time
Other: you will not made a wrong choice .this unit is OP but bright in center.

Pros: Mine comes with an almost SMO reflector that throws a lot further than sku 11074. A good thrower but comes with the price of artifacts AKA ringy. But hey, I love tight spots than floody beams. Also, this drop-in is now a Superbright brand, and not Solarforce anymore. However, I am still okay with it. Fits perfectly with my Surefire 6P, of course with the outer springs removed. Price used to be $12.90. Measures a little over 1A over a freshly charged 18650 batteries. Compared to sku 11074, the beam is whiter and I think, brighter whick made me decide that from now on, I will prefer R2 than Q5.
Cons: Ringy beam.
Other: If you have a P60 host, this is one drop-in to consider.

Pros: A good unit to fit in the surefire. Powermodes are handy. After refocussing a nice throw. No heat-dissipation troubles. Usable for many things like bikelight, in cars, boats and even home, to build your own led-moneysaving-lightsystems. In that case, replace the driver with the DX 3W 110-230VAC driver.
Cons: The lightoutput is, when used 2X CR 123 MUCH HIGHER than with one 18650 or 17670, the driver is not indifferent for changing voltage within its range.
Other: A basic part to make many lightapplications possible. Light is pure white (6000Kelvin) and produces almost a continu-spectrum what TL and energysaver lights don't do, they only give mostly 4 smallband colours.
