Pros: Very bright - brightest single LED emitter available at present. Definitely brighter than a Rebel 0100. I was also impressed about the high quality mounting to the star, it looked really professionally done. It was very easy to solder. Not very expensive considering that it can give 275 emitter-lumen at 1A.
Cons: Slightly greenish tint. Not that it is much enough to bother me, but I know some are sensitive about this. Cree rings are there.
Other: I will get more (once I figure out where to put them :-))

Pros: Very bright LED. It outshines all Q5 I seen. I used it for my homemade bycycleproject (pictures and maybe a movie coming soon). 3x this R2 make the cars I meet slow down, don´t know what their meeting. As said before, god quality and easy to solder.
Cons: I used 3X Q5 WF before and thought their gave to much blue light, and what I learned from the Kelvin scale is that this WG bin is more closer to daylight. More white light.
Other: My best deal at Dealextream so far.

Pros: Bought 10 and they are the best that i ever seen no problem to solder and all are working ok This led has the best ratio lm/W
Cons: starting to 50ma till 500ma seems that Q5 at low current are best, but if you increase R2 was little better.. very few quantity on all world market :(
Other: I will take others in the future when available

Pros: I have no light meter but as far as I can tell by eye this LED is a little brighter than my Q5 LEDs and a match for my other R2 LEDs.
Cons: The only con as far as I'm concerned is the fact that it comes on such a large star, I needed to remove it and resolder to a smaller one for my needs. These days there are few torches/flashlights that use such large stars.
Other: This R2 LED is well priced when you compare it to the Q5 LEDs on offer. It's just a shame about the size of the star.

Pros: This is a great power LED. I coupled it with a small heat sink and a current source @ 700mA. Works like a charm. Transfers heat well to the sink (be sure to use a tight fit and good thermal paste). Aluminum star is not electrically connected to anything, so you can tie a few of those to the same heat sink, without isolation.
Cons: People say this is on a 'large' star which doesn't see much use in modern flashlights. I cannot comment on this, as I put it on a separate assembly, and size wasn't a problem.
The light has some ripples at the end of the cone, maybe not the best solution if you are looking for a really sharp viewing angle.
Other: Absolutely worth every cent I paid. Made a great reading light with a few DIY additions (heatsink, LM317 driven off an USB +5V supply, and a few resistors)

Pros: After the buy of several kind of leds, I think we have the winner!! Sparkling bright pure whiti light in an incredible amount from such a small emitter. The star provides a good thermal contact to the (necessary) heatschrink.
Cons: NONE.
Other: Buy, try and become experienced with this technique!

Pros: Just got 2 of these from DX. The ones that I got do indeed look like WG tinted R2's. I have nothing to complain about really, they're pretty straight forward. At 1 amp they are nice and bright. Since getting these I've also gotten the new xpg R5's. Needless to say, the R5's are brighter but I still prefer the WG tint.
Cons: I wish DX would offer these on smaller stars to fit into a p60 host.
Other: Get them if you can't get the new xpg's

Pros: I bought three of these to replace te leds of the bike-lights (sku18307). The original leds were blue, and not very bright. Simply replacing the original leds with these XR-E R2 leds makes these bikelights very bright (and white instead of blue).
Cons: No cons, these are just perfect.
Other: These are very good, if the star fits, then it is very easy to replace older leds with these superbright ER-X R2 leds.

Pros: omg.. the cree emitter is perfectly centered on mine. it is so very bright! the tint is totally perfect. i bought it to modify my jetbeam jet-ii ibs q5. now i mod it to r2. and the differents is amazing.. i prefer the tint so much better. the tint is so almost neutral white. and so bright. i solder off the star and exchange it with the led on the jetbeam.
Cons: the star can be cut with scissors. and the star is too big for my use so i have to throw it away. would be better if this came with 14 mm base.
Other: buy buy buy!! its dirt cheap and very good quality!

Pros: Bright replacement emitter for older LED lights. Nice tint.
Cons: My emitter was NOT centered. Its actually off quite a bit. I thought this emitter would be brighter in a 3AAA light that it went into. It has a little more throw and spill. Its not impressive at all when compared to either my AKORAY or C3 with lithium.
The aluminum on the board was quite a bit thinner than the led it replaced.
Other: For the price I could have just spend a few more dollars and got a whole light.
