Data and Charging Docking Station with 3.5mm Audio + Mini USB Port for Apple iPad 2 (Black)

Pros: iPad sits in it nicely, it is held at a nice angle. The second slot allows you to have it sit horizontally for watching movies or doing other things in landscape orientation, I use it for holding my pogo sketch though. The build quality is nice, the plastic feels high quality and it's nicely weighted. It's compatible with iPod Touch 4.

Cons: Mini USB port doesn't work, won't charge or connect to PC with it. iPad wobbles from side to side slightly, not really an issue though. Camera connector doesn't work with it, this is probably a limitation imposed by Apple though, since the dock identifies itself as a dock. Since it's a dock you must have external speakers if you want to hear sound, it won't use the internal speaker while docked.

Other: Apart from the USB port it's good.

Pros: It is weighted - so it is stable.
Bottom is rubberized - it wont move around or slip.
has a 3.5mm jack for headphones or speakers.

Cons: useless micro USB port... I wonder what is it intended for?? DAC???
3.5mm jack - when you play the song/video and when it goes to silent or ended or stopped, you will hear some noise and then it will shut off bout 5-10 secs.

Other: Well for the price of a dock which is better alternative to apple's dock its actually good dock beside the useless micro USB port and silent noise from the audio output.

Pros: I went with this dock for three reasons:
- Audio out; I have it hooked into an external speaker system & like that I can leave the audio cable attached to the dock
- Has the ability to sit the ipad in landscape mode; I like to use the photo slideshow & sometimes prefer to have it landscape
- It's black, so it fits in with the kitchen decor :)

Cons: None that I can see; I'm not sure what the mini USB port does but it's not hurting anything. The ipad cable was a bit sticky to attach to the back, but you only have to do that once (and that might have been the black cable I bought anyway).

Other: I looked for a while and I think this is the best dock out there.
