Data Cable Compatible with Nokia CA-42

Pros: Much, much cheaper than the official ones, but absolutely no difference. I had no problems hooking it up to my Nokia 6610i. Then I installed Wammu on my Kubuntu-based PC, and I was quickly making a backup of the address book, my SMS messages... And it works both ways- so loading up a new phone with contacts details, need not take forever. Cable is approximately 1.2m long, and the connectors at both ends feel solid.

Cons: None. The phone I used it on has no bluetooth, and most computers have no IrDA, so really it's the *only* option for connectivity.

Other: Don't wait until you lose your phone or have it stolen to think "Oh yes, I should have had a backup of the data on my phone", get this and do it today.

Pros: Worked perfectly, very cheap and I can now connect my Nokia 6610i to my PC using USB rather than using the slow IR method.

Cons: Nothing

Other: Best price I found and worked flawlessly. If you have a Nokia phone that is supported by this cable then order away.

Pros: After a few setup hassles this worked great. It lets me access all kinds of features with my phone and saves me money in the process.

Cons: The included software caused my computer to lock up. I downloaded the software directly from Nokia's website and then it worked great.

Other: If it will work with your phone - buy it now.

Pros: It does work... Just not well.

Cons: It is VERY slow. This is not a USB connection, but a serial to USB converter. DO NOT EXPECT ANY SPEED. The device connects at 9600, it can be changed to 115200, but this is still MILES away from USB speeds. The pictures shown are showing a real Nokia CA-42 device, but they should be removed as that is not what this item is.

Other: This is a cheap knockoff cable. It does work, but it doesn't work well.

Pros: Wow! It works! I have had my Nokia 7250i for 6 years and have never been able to connect it to the PC to upload or download or even make any backups of my contacts, calendar or notes. Now with this nifty cable I am able to, for the first time do all the above!
Rest assured, I'll be spending lots of time trying out the PC Suite software and will try to put music onto my phone... if the phone firmware allows. Its an old phone but it works!

Cons: May be a little slow but it works, so I dont mind the speed at which it transfers or reads data off the phone.

Other: Its cheap, it works and I'm not complaining!

Other: 80% as good as a genuine CA-42 at around 10% of the price. If you want a cheap, effective way to connect a compatible Nokia mobile to your PC, then this is it.

Otima qualidade, varios idiomas (incluindo português).
O preço é inacreditavel! Aqui no Brasil, eu encontro ele entre 40$ a 60$!!

Cons: É um pouco complicado de fazer funcionar. Tive um pouco de dor de cabeça, mas nada do que a boa e velha estrategia de "tentativa e erro" não pudesse resolver. hahahaha
