  • Quite large idle current

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Seems to work fine. Output ripple was under 50mVpp under small loads. Efficiency was around 90 % with a 500 mA load. Output voltage setting is easy and accurate enough.

    Cons: Idle input current was several milliamperes, 10mA with input of 10V and output of 4V. With power switched off idle current was 0.08mA at 8V.

    Other: Does what it promises but obviously not best choice for low power battery powered applications, due to the large idle current.
