Pros: It allows you to replace odd ODD of your laptop to something more practical: SDD or HDD. Decent build quality Ships with screws Usage instructions are on item itself

Cons: HDD fixing might be insufficient. Screws hold only one side of HDD. You will need to cover backside of laptop with something.

Other: This is nice alternative to having HDD in external enclosures. It allows greater mobility and performance.

Pros: Handy adapter for hard drives. If we consider that optical discs will soon not be needed too often, it is very cost-effective solution that does not use bulky USB adapters.

Cons: difficult to get out of the laptop, after installation, but it does not affect all models, and for that price you should not dwell on this. Not all laptops can boot from a disk installed on this adapter. There are solutions that can be prescribed in the loader on the primary drive link to the second drive in the adapter. it is less negative, and especially laptops. IMHO

Other: A good solution if you want to put a SSD in your laptop as second disk

Pros: Expand notebooks with additional drive (HDD or SSD), it can receive HDD with abnormal height (12.5mm, like Toshiba MK7559GSM) without problem.

Cons: Eliminates optical drive is the only cons, if you still need one. Build quality is actually not very good one. But, it is all covered and not visible once installed.

Other: This is nice to have and good choice for expanding your notebook drives.

Pros: It's cheap and pretty easy to install. The only difficulty that I've faced was taking off my optical drive's front panel without breaking it.

Cons: The screw holes might not perfectly match your laptop's layout. The build quality could be better but it shouldn't break easy given that you'll most likely not have to tinker with this item for years after it has been installed.

Other: Great product for a great price.

Other: Satisfied with Good choice to extend storage of your laptop – Designer's 2.5" SATA to SATA HDD / SSD Caddy for 12.7mm Optical Drive. This is nice alternative to having HDD in external enclosures. It allows greater mobility and performance.

Pros: The product is made of decent materials - build quality. I bought it to replace my laptop DVD which I rarely used and is an excellent fit. I tried an SSD and a standard HDD and both worked perfectly. It has all the necessary holes to secure it to your laptop as well as to accept the "face" of the old DVD so there is no "hole" left in the side of the laptop.

Cons: None so far. I don think there can be a "Con" with this product. It's a simple construction so if it fits there is nothing else to go wrong.

Other: Definitely Excellent Buy. A already recommended to a friend of mine.

Pros: Great, works well with many models of laptops ( Tried it on 3 different one ( Asus, MSI and Dell), and they all fit perfectly, plus the original face plate can be attached to it.

Cons: none, great for a very small price. It can be found at many other stored for up to 3-4 times the price DX sells it, so if you can wait for the shipping time, it is a very good caddy for most laptops!

Other: Great if you want to put another HDD or a SSD in your laptop!

Pros: SATA laptop HDD fits snugly and secured with two screws. It fits well in my Compal JHL90 laptop. The mounting bracket from my dvd drive screwed onto the end of this unit.

Cons: I have nothing to cover the hole left from removing dvd drive. Not really a con just didn't occur to me until after installation.

Other: Its a good deal fits works and is cheap.

Pros: Great for low price. Decent buil quality. Original DVD bevel attached to caddy with no problems (my laptop Dell N7110). Good HDD fixing in caddy. Laptop looks like with DVD, but inside have HDD :)

Cons: Need some modifications to prevent "laptop wont shutdown". Needs to cut or isolate 3 pin like show in pictures (pictures not original, but usefull for example).

Other: Good deal. I can recommend to buy this caddy.

Cons: Had to modify the inner connectors to make it work right with my HP Laptop Some of the caddies I bought were damaged on arrival

Other: This is a good buy if you want to add a 2.5" SSD or an extra 2.5" HDD to your laptop. You can install the front from your own dvd player onto this caddy so it looks the same from the outside. Working fine on my Elitebook 8560w right now.
