Pros: Cheap Did it mentioned ? Is CHEAP : Same item offered in "professional" Internet stores for 6 times the price, and YES, is the SAME item. Drive is easy to install : Put the drive inside, adjust just one screw and done. Optionally you can use the provided screws for more security Has holes to attach your current drive bezel Took me just 5 minutes to have my 2nd drive up and running.

Cons: No activity led, but it can easily wired. The internal board has the pads but unpopulated.

Pros: If anything matters when dealing with a 2nd HDD caddy, it's how it fits inside your laptop. Used it on an Asus M50Vn 4-year old laptop, fitted perfectly. I was able to mount the outer panel of my old DVD-ROM on the caddy, so now the laptop looks exactly like it did before. At least until you press the "eject" button and nothing happens. The HDD also fitted without problems in the internal bay.

Cons: No real cons, but some mentions to be made.

Pros: Nice plactic blister package, anti-scratch protective film for the device which is easy to remove... Fits perfectly and functions well. Great build quality and affordable price. All 4 screws fit my SSD like a charm! Lightning read-write speed (no difference between "caddy" and "no-caddy" installations). It's fine for SSD.

Cons: For some reasons the blue activity LED doesn't turn off. It doesn't distract but seems strange. No front panel included (not actually a big con, but having it would be a big pro for sure).

Other: It's usable and useful, it's cheap. I'm 99% satisfied. Small cons are not sighnificant to be simply ignored.

Pros: I bought two of these cases. Both were of good quality. I used them to install HDDs in the place of the optical drive of a laptop, but they should also fit a SSD drive. The HDD fits nicely in the case. The packaging also includes some screws and a small plastic bracket. After you plug the HDD to the SATA connector, you can put this bracket in front of it (just between the drive and the front of the case). This helps to prevent the drive from detaching from the SATA connector. Typically, when you remove the optical drive from the laptop, you also have to remove its front panel. After that you attach the front panel to the HDD case. The front panel of the optical drives, that I removed, fitted the HDD case well.

Cons: When you attach the front panel of the optical drive to the HDD case there are no problems. However, if you later decide to remove it from the HDD case, you will find out that it does not come out easily. I had to disassemble the HDD case in order to remove it. It is not such a huge problem, however, as the box can be disassembled rather quickly.

Other: I think that the cases are nice and I have already ordered a third one.

Pros: Excellent build quality, complete the 4 screws for fixing HDD. The metal parts are covered with a protective film, which is easily removed prior to installation. In Notebook HP Pavilion g6 went perfectly, the front panel of the DVD drive also went perfectly. When the laptop is on the blue LED lights up, and when reading / writing HDD LED flashes.

Pros: Super cheap, it works as well as the more expensive one you can buy on ebay or in-store locally. The good point is that it is exactly the same thing! It is well built, it has the status led builted in, which is a good feature.

Cons: None at all, I cannot think of a con or a bad point for this product, except maybe the fact that it could have been even cheaper, but at $14,10, that would be hard to do!

Other: I used it in a Dell Studio 1550 Laptop, I put my Toshiba 500gb hard drive in that bay, everything is working well for over 1 month now!.

Pros: A very good price/quality ratio for this useful caddy. I added a second HDD on my Toshiba Satellite laptop. Just unscruwed the 4 integrated screws on the caddy self and inserted my second HDD, screwed in back. Plug and play (had to reboot my computer, however). I give a five stars for the overall rating.

Cons: I just installed it, so I don't have any cons for the moment.

Pros: The faceplate is removable and easy to change from your laptop but it seems to be difficult to remove the faceplate again. It has the screws included. It fits perfectly.

Cons: Maybe if you have to change the faceplate again it is going to be difficult and maybe you have to disassembly the whole unit to do it but until then it is a very good item and it works.

Other: It works perfect and it does its function. Now I have one SSD and one HDD in my laptop and it's very fast.
