DigiMicro 200X Zooming USB Digital Microscope

Pros: Very intuitive design, simple controls. The focus wheel is large and easy to manipulate. Focusing moves smoothly and increments well. The image quality is sufficient for most beginner programs, onion skins and such. The led lights have a low/high/off setting, and are powerful enough on high to drown out color capturing.

Cons: Be still while hitting the capture button. There is a momentary delay from the button to the capture. Stability is vital for saving images. Because of this the included metal stand was not much help. I just hold the scope firm and flat directly on my target.

Other: Would purchase again without hesitation. Not a big investment, so let the kids play with it!

This product ideal for anyone who want to know - how useful may be microscope for his works. Software is set without problems. Product have all useful options.

Hard focus wheel
Better for manufacturer to make stand with a flexible stick like some lamps and also place snapshot button on stand. Maybe also to soften focus wheel - when you try to focus, stand may move.

Other: Excellent for anyone who want to try digital microscope - to buy or not to buy :^)If you even think what this item not useful for you, you can easily sell this - many people want to try or do a present to their kids.

Pros: Does exactly what it is supposed to do. You can capture video at 640*480@30fps. Zoom mecanism is pretty smooth. I use it to check solders and will use it to capture video tutorials on soldering.

Cons: Video is of pretty good quality, but flickers at high resolution. Plastic feels a bit cheap and one LED is already dead (bad soldering). When zooming at max, you can see the lens is not clean (on the inside).

Other: This is exactly what I wanted : cheap, just fonctional, not exceptionnal.

Pros: I used it on GNU/Linux Ubuntu and it works perfectly. No need to install drivers, just plug it to USB port and you are ready to go :-) It appears as a Video For Linux (V4L) device, so you can use any program that plays and records video from V4L :-)

Cons: Making zoom seems a bit difficult, I think it could be better.

Pros: good amount of zoom for regular user; bright LEDs, easy to use

Cons: zoom operation could be more sensitive, higher zoom would be nicer. but no complaints for the price

Other: definitely able to see more detail than viewing by naked eyes or by using a magnification lens.
