Digital AV HDMI Adapter for Apple iPad / iPhone 4 / iPod Touch - White

Pros: With an iPhone 4S / New iPad it works out of the box. Just plug it in the TV and you see the iPhone screen instantly! It works perfectly with YouTube videos, iPod videos, and basically any app that shows video. It allows you to lock the screen and still watch it on the TV. Resolution is wonderful

Cons: With older iPhones/iPods you may need to jailbreak in order to allow video streaming. iPhone gets quite hot when watching a movie with this. If you don't plug it in, battery lasts about 2-3 hours connected to a TV Build quality is not perfect, but not bad either

Other: Totally recommended if you have an HDMI valid screen, and you watch movies on the iPhone/iPad. It's not bad for gaming but it gets really hot

Pros: It seems to be working nicely (which it should at this price level). Build quality seems ok, but hard to tell until it's be used for a while longer.

Cons: Well, it works well with old iPad and iPhones, but not the newer ones which uses the Lightning connector. (I haven't tried if it can somehow work with the convertor plug, as I haven't received it yet.)

Other: Seems like a good deal so far.

Pros: Item is compact and minimalistic. Good design, nice quality materials and solid built. Fits with devices perfectly. Connection is solid - cords will not fall on their own. Cheaper than the geniue adapter. Has 30-pin in port for charging the iPad while transmitting HD video and the audio to the TV. Flat - it will not take much space in your pocket or bag. Does not look cheap or china-made.

Cons: Sometimes you must reconnect it to iPad to be recognized as supportable (compatible) device. It may not work if the connection to the iPad was not 100% right (but reconnecting usually helps to solve the issue). Expencive (it should cost at least three times cheaper for device with such functions and that issues).

Other: If you want to watch on TV for what is displayed on your iPad and you don't have Apple TV - buy it! It works and it is cheaper than the geniue one!
