Digital Compact LCD Thermometer with Outdoors Remote Sensor

Pros: It is very cheap, and easy to use, the display LCD is relative large and clear to read. The accuracy is in an acceptable range, I tested it with a classical mercury thermometer, in the two tested point (0 and 22 degree), mine is 0.8 degree Centigrade above the mercury thermometer.

Cons: 1) the building quality is not as I expected, The LCD has lines missing! However it is not very difficult to fix it, I fixed mine by opening the back cover and cleaning the rubber conducting bar with piece of paper.
2) There is no Fahrenheit switch in the back. So you can't change it to Fahrenheit.
3) no reset button.

Other: Cheap and Good for general use.

Pros: * very cheap
* easy to use
* display LCD is easy to read.
* accuracy is acceptable
* little
* in fact, it's so little that you can hide it anywhere (I use mine to read soil temperature of plants)

Cons: * build quality is not 100%
* little is a PRO, but also a Con... I already lost one somewhere between all my plants :)

Other: * For the price, you get a decent device that works good enough for general use.

Pros: This small unit works well enough. The sender unit is small metallic cylinder which works better than comparable plastic ones.

Cons: The battery compartment is not a tight fit for the batteries. When I first loaded it, the terminals on one batteries shorted-out. That battery got very hot before I discovered the problem. Also, there is no switch for selecting the Fahrenheit scale.

Other: Good unit for general chemistry, science projects. Not so good for general temperature monitoring for those accustomed to the Fahrenheit scale.

Pros: It works and displays accurate temperature in Celcius.

Cons: Only measures temperature via external probe, very short cable, probe is waterproof, module housing is not.
All instructions in Chinese only.
Tight fitting batteries. Feels unsubstantial.

Other: It's OK, and does the job, and is worth the small amount it costs.

Other: DX rocks and i have sorted all of my Christmas gifts from here, the only thing now it to brave the family.... when DX stock family's i will get a new one :)

Pros: -Quite accurate (compared with calibrated mercury thermometer)
-Small
-Easy to build in a control panel
-Probe wire long enough

Cons: -Comes only in black, although white version is displayed on the box (I would appreciate white one)
-Not really that cheap considering it has just one simple function, small display without a light
-It's designed to be built-in, could be a con when you require standalone operation or wall mounting

Other: decent buy for e.g. control panel of some kind, if you want a standalone thermometer look for others

Pros: It is very accurate. I ordered several of them and they all show same value at same temperature within 0.1 degrees.
Price is cheap and quality good. Sensor and cable is robust. Metallic sensor is good. Size is very small but big numbers on display still.

Cons: Update time of temperature is very loong. For that reasion measurenments may show different values between different modules.
Case is made for panel mounting. Not easy to use on table or on wall mounted. Have to clue on if used by wall mounted.

Other: It's OK. Good value for money. All of my 10 pcs are OK so good reliability.

Pros: It has a simple big clear display. It shows accurate temp.
I love it's small size.

Cons: It doesn't come with a switch for Fahrenheit.
The cord for the probe is too short.

Other: Even tho it is a slight pain in the A$$ to switch the temp settings, I would still buy it. The simple mod took me about a minute to finish and shouldn't take the average person with a soldering iron much longer.

Pros: +In my eye it's stylish and simple looking
+Includes batteries
+Possible to use Celsius and Fahrenheit
+Big screen and big numbers
+It's quite accurate, matches +-1 to my other thermometers

Cons: -Build quality isn't great, thermometer may not contact properly to batteries and then some digits of the screen won't show correctly(can be repraired though)

Other: If you want portable thermometer to any vehicles or in home, this is simple, cheap and stylish way to go.

Pros: Good cheap product. Long lasting and useful. The meter is black instead of the white one on the box cover. Definatelly a pro for me.

Cons: The meter shows pretty consistentially 2 celsius above the real temperature.

Other: If you wan't to monitor temperature this is a good buy. I have one in my cars trunk, in my mini refridgrator and one in my pets box. Just remember that the thermometer shows +2 degrees above the real temperature.
