Digital InfraRed Thermometer with Laser Sight - Random Color (-32'C~380'C/26'F~716'F)

Pros: - more accurate than expected. Eg. reads body temperature within +/- 1 degree celsius compared to an clinical thermometer - Easy to use. While pressing the button is shows the actual temperature and the maximum termperature - display with backlight - laser (switchable) to see the point that is messured - good build quality. - switchable between Celsius and Fahrenheit - 1:12 optic let you do exact measurments from distance (spot size is 7,5 cm in a distance of 90 cm) - rated temperature range starts at -32 Celsius (not tested). But in my freezer it shows -19,7 with seems to be right.

Cons: no realy cons. Emissionfactor is preset to 0,95 and can't be changed. But as normal user, you wouldn't find out the right emission factor for the material you are measuring and so it's not a big thing, that is is presetted.

Other: It's a cheap infrared thermometer and it does everything I need.

Pros: This is a click & point IR pyrometer which is extremely easy to use - just press the button and point it where you want. The laser can be switched off, units can be Celsius or Fahrenheit. It also displays 2 temperatures - current and maximum.

Cons: This unit can't store the minimum temperature - only maximum. Optical resolution is 12:1 - not very good for fine measurements.

Other: Overall this unit distinguishes from others by a large measurement range which goes down to -32C (only -18C in my freezer).

Pros: It's a non contact temperature gun with a laser pointer.
Good for checking temp of CPUs and for tuning nitro engines and the like..
Seems relatively accurate
Has a laser pointer.
Can switch laser on and off and can select F or C.
Huge backlit display with max hold and scan mode for live temp readings

Cons: Can't find any

Other: Awesome product.
Have been looking for one of these for a long time and they have always been over $150 this is a great price and the unit seems to work just as well.

Pros: - Fast even by IR meter standards, extremely fast if you're used to conventional meters. - Accurate enough for household use - Small measuring spot 1:12 - Laser on/off switch (good if u have small children around) - Measures up to 560C (accuracy might be worse above 380 but fine for relative measurements)

Cons: - The laser on/off switch labelled only in Chinese

Other: Just get it if you pay for your heating/cooling or need to measure hot objects.

Pros: You can easily change settings from celsius to farenheit. There is also a feature that allows you to switch the laser of which I don't use but someone might find it handy. I was surprised at the accuracy of this thermometer, I would compare it to other thermometers I had around the house and it alway's came within a degree or two of those readings. The backlit LCD is a very nice addition that lets you easily read the screen.

Cons: I guess the only con I can think of is that it came with a generic battery so i'm thinking it probably won't last long.

Other: The bottomline is that this is a great tool for the price and one can find a few uses for it around the home. I mainly use this to tune my nitro RC car and it works very nicely.

Pros: easy point and click interface. the display is illuminated and the numbers are large and easy to read. it says -32 to 380C but i actually got mine up to 440C it's made of a grey plastic, a bit cheap, but hey, it is not that expensive is it. and the plastic is thick, so it actually feels strong. the laser is bright enough to see during a sunny day.

Cons: haven't found any.

Other: if your looking for a ir thermometer, or if you just like gadgets, its great :)

Pros: It takes the temperature of everything, its so useful, in a useless kind of way. I know the temperature of everything in my house...and everything outside of my house....and my cat. AND it doesn't stop working, i haven't put it down in 2 full days.

Cons: ITS SO FREAKING ADDICTING. GOD **** I KNOW THE TEMPERATURE OF EVERY INCH OF MY CEILING! IT ACTUALLY SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF BRAIN THROUGH MY EYE SOCKETS!

Other: DON'T BUY IT, YOU WONT HAVE A LIFE FROM MEASURING THE TEMPERATURE OF EVERYTHING!

Pros: It is lightweight and confortable to hold
It measures pretty fast.. almost instantly.
The accuracy is amazing... from 1CM to 3Meters the variant was like 0.7 celsius which is pretty good in terms of accuracy for this price (~$24.00)

Cons: So far none

Other: This is a useful device in a useless way (as other already said) but is a great toy if you need to take measures from engines, CPUS, etc.
All my measures show very accurated... my freezer is set up to -18C and that is exactly what this device shows... refrigerator is at -2C and again, exactly measure..
The up limit wasnt yet checked but range appears to be much more than the ones on description (perhaps the range on description refers to what is considered accurated)

Pros: The device is easy to use.
Build quality seems to be good.
The precision seems to be quite good. It is useful to measure the temperature where standard thermometers are useless: get a kick reading of a fridge temperature, find the hotest/coldest zones, measure wall temperatures, measure the temperature of a battery, cpu, etc...

Cons: I did not receive a battery with the device.
For some material (steel, reflective surface,...), the temperature is not accurate but this is a limit of infrared measures. Some workarounds exist.

Other: If you need a fast and easy thermometer to measure the temperature of all kind of things, this one is good. Buy it/
