Digital InfraRed Thermometer with Laser Sight (-50-C ~ 200-C)

Pros: Simple to use Buttons well labelled Light weight Works well

Cons: You have to imagine how big an area is being sampled
The laser spot is an approximation of where you are pointing

Other: Good product. I'm giving one away for Christmas. Planning on it being a cooking accessory (can quickly see frying pan temperature, oven temperatures, temperature of surface of what is being cooked) :)

Pros: Easy to use and to work out what's going on. Great for measuring temperature differences (ie one spot to another) as I'm not to sure about the accuracy (as it's difficult to verify with another instrument). However the instructions and packing give it a +/- 5% error so that's good to know that the manufacture acknowledges this and you can take this into account.

Cons: It's doesnt feel too durable so it would be good not to have this banging around a tool bag as you may play havoc with accuracy.

Other: I use it to measure heat in PCs (CPUS/VPUS), liquid and plant measurements and for other (stupid) things like the temperature of the dog or the driveway (in the shade/not shade :) and it works a treat. Good to have in your toolbag

Pros: Price is unbeated! It does what it promises and accuracy is good enough.

Cons: None really.

Other: Useful in all circumstances.

Pros: Accurate enough. Laser pointer is very handy. Nice backlight at the press of a button.

Good clear display with F or C scale selection.

Easy to use.

Cons: The unit goes to sleep too quickly. I would prefer it to stay on for longer. This means I also have to press the laser button nearly every time I want to use it.

Could be a little smaller.

Other: Very nice little unit, at a good price. Highly recommended.

Pros: - excellent for working out when surfaces/food are too hot, warm enough etc - works really well with the microwave when trying to work out if stuff is hot enough to eat etc - brilliant for pancakes, working out when surface is right for swirling mixture around a pancake, when it's cooked (speeds things up) - great for checking temperature of foods coming out of the fridge

Cons: - might need to pull trigger a couple of times to confirm original reading

Other: Really recommended.

Pros: Fonctionne parfaitement et les valeurs données semblent cohérentes. (Pour la moitié du prix en France)

Other: Much cheaper than similar products I have seen which are three times the price.

Pros: Pretty accurate for close range(~20cm)I live at sea level so took measurents of boling water and water melted from ice(while there was ice left),for boiling water it measured 102°C and for melting 1°C,pretty accurate,as I think no one buying this would need to be more accurate than that.

Cons: The farther you get the less accurate this will be,for example tooking measurents of a noteebook power supply from close range it measured 42°C,from about 1.5m it will measured 29°C(while ambient temperature was 25°C).

Other: Good price for good enough accuracy,worths the money :)

Other: Probably not the most accurate, but it at least can tell you if something is hot or not, and you can always use known temp points to tell you how far off it is, I did find that the farther away (of course) the more it measured the ambient temp than what I was wanting it to measure. Awesome, except for the dieing, but its not too expensive so :)
