Digital Laser Tachometer with Pouch (2.5~99999.9RPM Range / 0.1RPM Resolution)

Pros: Received the Digital Laser Tachometer last week and have been running it through some test on my Airplane.
The unit feel solid and it uses a 9V battery.
The package does comes with a nice pouch and in the pouch it include some reflective tape.
The Laser beam is quite broad and not focus to a dot which is good as it would not burn your eye if you accidentally point to an eye but do be care full as the beam is still quite bright.
You would need to cut and stick a piece of the reflective tape to one of the airplane prop and point the laser beam to the general area where the reflective tape is when the prop is spinning. The unit remember the max and min speed in rpm.

Cons: When the beam is too close to the prop, the prop plastic may reflect the laser beam which cause false reading. It is best to point no too close to the prop.

Other: For a low cost tachometer, this is a great buy

Pros: Easy to use, push test to test, and mem to read min, max and average speed. Laser dot is clearly visible, and readings seems to match reality. Users manual included but after first use no longer necessary.

Cons: You have to use a pair of scissors to cut the tape into small pieces to place on the spinning object. The buttons are (a little to easy) to push in, leaving the unit on in the bag, draining the battery.

Other: Use it to test electrical motors, fans and everything spinning!

Pros: It measures Revs Per Minute. Just stick a small piece of reflective tape to the device you want to measure, point the Digital Laser Tachometer at the target whilst its spinning, and its tells you how fast (in Revs Per Minute) the thing is turning. It also tells you the min an max Revs Per Minute

Cons: You need something reflective on the moving object

Other: I use this for checking the Revs Per Minute of small electric motors that students have built to check out there efficiency. Works well for the price.

Pros: This is awesome, if you´ve got a machine or something that you need to measure rpm this is the s€#%. This is seriously awesome, to test the accuracy I tested this on my friends big mill, it has a built in rpm meter, so I could test my new little portable device, it was 1rpm at 8000rpm, with is the fraction of a percent, which is increadible. Also, a local store sells one of these for 80usd equivalency.

Cons: Nothing bad to say!

Other: If you could use a tachometer this is the one, thats all I need to say

Pros: This product emits a laserbeam and registers the rpm based on the reflection of this beam. This allows it to work on much further distances than normal tachs and so can keep you safer!
There is also a ample supply of reflective tape.

Cons: None!

Other: If you don't have a tach, get this one! Safe reading distance and good accuracy makes it the perfect tool for any hobby-use.

Pros: Very good price excellent condition for up product for small or large engines.I took almost 30 days to Uruguay, shipping to my country always takes longer than the USA, but it's worth the wait. I will recommend to my friends.

Cons: None. For the price is more than enough. If you lie, very little.

Other: I was surprised because it is very cheap. It works very well. Strong construction. I think the film gives to many times, with 2 or 3 mm and just depends on the size of what you're going to be measured. Buy another one at any time.

Pros: -works exactly as it should
-detailed and clear instructions included
-one third of the price of the ones in stores in Canada.
-comes with a convenient and sturdy zippered carrying case.

Cons: build quality is lowish, but this does not effect is usage at all. Other than that, there are no real problems with the unit.

Other: Good value, no regrets buying this tachometer.

Pros: This is a very useful tool for any person who works in the construction and design of machines with rotating parts. In my case we are building a combine harvester and I need to know the speed of the different transmissions (belt or chain) to select the size. For lathe speed, drill speed control or even linear movement of wheat cutter bars this is the perfect tool!

Cons: No CONS- good quality!

Other: Very useful instrument, display is big. Reading of the laser reflective sensor is OK, and precision is OK. Comes in a nice protective pouch with zipper. For this price it's a must have tool for metal working business and machine designers.

Pros: This Digital Laser Tachometer comes with a manual, reflective adhesive strip and a pouch. This alltogether makes is worth the while to buy. I have tested several gearboxes and production machines, where the rotational speed was known. I have not found a deviation more than 1%.

Cons: The reflective strip is a part that is consumed by using the device. I have not found a substitute at this stage. It might work with aluminium foil or tape.

Other: When working in industry you sometime encounter older hardware, where the rpm is unknown. This device makes is transparent again.

Pros: This tachometer replaces a broken strobotach that cost $550 US dollars. The replacement battery for the old strobotach was $48. For just a little bit of money I have an automatic tachometer that seriously kicks butt over the old one. Its even better than the slightly cheaper model with only whole RPM display. It comes with strong reflective tape and a nice case. This one came in a blue case that was protected with a cardboard box. The tachometers that do not have the fractional display do not have the cardboard box as pictured.

Cons: None that I can see.

Other: I've saved a lot of money by buying this instead of a LED strobotach.
