Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Loud, nice tunes. Uses 2*AA cells in the receiver plus 1*AA in the Transmitter.
Cons: Assumed it needed a 23a battery in the transmitter, so now have to find a use for the set i bought. The AA in the transmitter is a poor fit and needed a bit of spacing to maintain connection.
Other: Good simple doorbell with a nice variety of tunes.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Excellent range Silent mode Very loud and clear doorbell tones and tunes. Uses common AA batteries in receiver, 12V battery in transmitter
Cons: Instructions are pretty sparse, but it's not hard to figure out-
Other: Standby current on the receiver is only 0.35mA, which is lower than the Oulia unit I got from Dealextreme in the past, with 0.50mA draw. This means the batteries will last longer. There's a switch to turn off the tones, which is also a plus, because I was planning on using it for remote control switching, running it from the LED indicators. Range appears very good; though I haven't tried it at the 100 meter range in the open, it didn't have any trouble picking up the signal with the transmitter on the dashboard of my car (parked at the street), and transmitting from inside my house on the second floor. Lots of tunes in the cycle mode, and it has a well thought out setup where you can pick one of the 16 different tunes and lock it in. In the top slide selector position (cycle mode), just press transmit until you hear the tune you want, then slide the three position switch to the bottom (single tune mode), and it'll play the same one each time. The middle position is the silent mode, where only the LED's twinkle merrily. If the batteries are changed, it'll reset to the first tune, but you can rapidly get to your desired tune by pressing the transmit in rapid succession, no need to wait for each tune to finish playing (some of them are pretty long...) That's about it, simple to operate- it's as easy as pushing a button. :)

Pros: My new house it spread out and the room I am in the most does not have a bell or can you hear knocking from the room. This works to it. The build is nice- but I got something l ike a dolphin. The unit is very loud.
Cons: No instructions. But we knew that, right? The transmitter is pre double sided. I'll rather drill it in myself. Which you can do, but I'd rather dop and go.
Other: My wife hates it. Which means it is great.

Pros: Nice and loud and easy to install. Value for money also.
Cons: Don't mount the push button on a metal surface or steel security door as it won't work. Mounted mine on a screen door and it wouldn't work, moved it to the side and onto brick and it worked fine. Moved it back, wouldn't work. So guess where I ended up mounting it.
Other: It apears well built and works as it should so would say if you want a door bell, buy it.

Pros: Great item. Small battery (23A?) provided, for button, needs two AA batteries for chime. The chime is very loud (could use volume control), and plays a variety of tunes. Is easy to mount both button (remove backing and stick) and hand chime on nail, screw or hook. Great variety of songs and sounds.
Cons: Volume control would be great. Haven't seen the batteries that are in the button yet, but hope they are not too pricey. Instructions are in Japanese, but it's pretty easy to figure out without any.
Other: Does the job it supposed to and is reasonably priced.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Small -Easy to configure -Loud sound -Amazing distance remote control
Cons: Not really a con, but would be great if it has a sound level adjustment, like 3 positions where you can choose between low, mid and high sound levels... the current locked one is pretty high
Other: Buy it... you always can find a useful application for it. It is easy to configure... just switch the right switch to top, press the remote button and it will play different sound each time... if you want to lock on a specific sound, just move the switch to bottom after hearing the one you like the most.

Pros: + durable item, we are having it two years now, and still working without a glitch + the range is ver good, we bought local doorbell for more than 4 times frice of this one and it dosen't work as good as this product + battery for the button is enclosed in the package, so you only need two AA batteries for the chime + battery in the button lasts for very long, we haven't change it in two years, still working, battery in chime too, but "only" for a year + you can choose from plenty melodies, or set to bell with different melody every time, when someone come
Cons: none
Other: going to buy another :)
