DIY MAX7219 Red LED Dot Matrix Display Module for Arduino (Works with Official Arduino Boards)

Pros: Good quality PCB and all necessary components are supplied to build this. Very easy to put together and worked first time connected to my Arduino.

Cons: Would be better if the connectors were on the sides and the exit was a plug so that multiple modules can be connected together to form a display

Pros: Very good and simple kit. Everything for assembling are supplied in kit. Very easy to put together and worked first time connected to Arduino.

Cons: For begginers is very hard to correct populate PCB. Very usefull will be just little instructions. No text, just illustrations or pictures. And connectors.Iit'll be mutch better to follow Arduino shield principle, so that make posibility to stack more shields on Arduino at once. Of course ths display will be on top. In specification.. please remove colour of PCB. This data just confuse.

Other: Very good product!

Pros: Its a very good kit to learn how to use a LED dot matrix display. Easy to sold, thanks to the users pictures. Also easy to use with the Arduino card. A lot of example programs are on the web, and its easy to create your own. The matrix and the MAX chip are on sockets, so you can't burn them during the soldering !

Cons: Maybe hard to use for a beginner... On my kit, some matrix pins were bent. Need to straighten them before connecting.

Other: Buy this kit if you want to discover the matrix leds technology and if you are a DIY fan !
