Dragon Full Replacement Shell Casing for NDS Lite

Pros: -lools rawrsome... that's a good thing XD

Cons: -screw holes NOT THE SIZE OF THE SCREWS, take a screwdriver and drill in until they get wide enough
-a few tiny air bubbles on the top lid
-the rest of the case is matte

Other: All in all it looks exactly as desired, but if ya wananassemble it you'll have ta work hard for it. Before even trying the case on widen the screwholes until all screws work with it. Pay extreme care to the ribbon cables especially the top screen one or you'll end up breaking them like I did.

Pros: great to repair or revamp a dslite

Cons: fiddley to change but otherwise no faults in the product i can find so far .

Other: great product for the money to update ,revamp or repair the dslite provided you take your time you should be able to replace this no probs withe the screwdrivers needed which i also got here ,this was my first ever order from deal extreme and at present im looking a new shell for the old broken nds we have at home here so all in all a great place to order from giving a quality service providing great products .

Pros: The Chinese Dragon design is definitely a plus, since few people outside of IQDS users and DX costumers would have a DS Lite like this. A Matte black bottom half is great because the original shell to my DS was glossy black which seemed to collect fingerprints from across the room. Purchasing this replacement shell and doing it myself was far less expensive and faster then sending it to Nintendo for repair.

Cons: Unless you're knowledgeable with the insides of a DS this can take some time. It took me 3/2 hours to complete, even after watching and reading countless repair guides on the internet to make sure I knew what to do when I did open it up. A small blob of excess plastic next to the D-pad near the touchscreen detracts slightly from the aesthetics. Having to sand down excess plastic on the internal components increased repair time. Lower quality volume and power buttons compared the the original unit. The stylus slot is also smaller then on the original and it is difficult to remove your stylus when you're playing with it. The softer plastic trapped one of the Trigram screws halfway in a screw-hole during reassembly and I had to retrieve it with pliers.

Other: If you have a broken shell on your DS Lite, or you think your DS could use a new look, and you're undaunted by the fear of opening up expensive electronics, then this is for you.

Pros: I bought this because my Crimson DS Lite finally suffered the infamous broken hinge after three years of use. After letting my broken DS sit on the shelf for over a year (while reading the online tutorials on replacing DS Lite shells many times), I finally decided to replace it. To my surprise, replacing the housing is easier than it sounds in the tutorials! Working carefully and slowly, it took me about an hour to replace the case. If you just need to replace the housing, SOLDERING IS NOT REQUIRED. I was worried because I hate soldering but thankfully, it's not required if you're just replacing the shell. (However, if you need to replace the screen, touchscreen, speakers or other electronic components, soldering IS required.) After I installed the new shell, everything works perfectly! The dragon print looks great and is identical to the BenQ "Dragon DS" that was released in China a few years ago. Finish looks good and the metallic red colour looks just as nice as the genuine Crimson DS.

Cons: The finish is nice but the fit is not so good. The top piece is slightly warped at one corner and doesn't rest flush against the bottom piece when closed (like the original shell). This is not a big or noticeable problem for me but some people may not like this. Instructions are not included but fortunately, there are many online tutorials for replacing the shell. Just find them through Google. Some pieces seem to be made from a thinner, poorer grade of plastic.

Other: Breathe new life into your old or damaged DS Lite! For $10 and an hour of your time, your DS will look brand new again! Why buy a new DS when there's an inexpensive and quick way to fix your old DS and make it look and feel new?

Pros: - I broke the hinge of my NDS lite and I found this cheap and nice replacement case. - I was worry of the quality looking at some review, but when I received this one I was really surprised. It is very nice and neat. - The design of this shell is beautiful in my opinion. - I didn't have any problem to replace the case. Everything fit well. - When the case is installed, it is like an original NDS. - Everything is provided (except the screws) to replace the case (even the sping for the left and right "button".

Cons: - Need some skill to replace the case as some part are a little bit "tricky" to remove.

Other: - Really good and cheap way to "repair" or to change the "design" of your old NDS lite. - You really have a "brand new" one after the replacement.

Pros: 1. Beautifully painted upper lid and black bottom shell. 2. The blurb on the bottom shell looks convincing. 3. Serial number sticker provided. 4. The buttons are gloss black and complements the matte black surface beautifully. 5. Rubber grommets and the screw-hole covers for the top screen are provided. 6. Fit and finish OK but not quite there (see cons)

Cons: 1. Poor fit and finish. 2. The top screen and the bottom shell leave a large gap after installation. No tweaking rectified this. 3. The bottom surface paint is not clearcoated so is prone to scratching (it's matte black after all!) 4. Mine arrived with a huge scratch on the bottom shell. 5. The screws won't tighten all the way; this makes the whole console 'creak' when handled. (sounds spooky? I thought so...) 6. The original hinge will not fit properly in the designated slot. I filed the surface down and finally rammed the hinge in using

Other: Grab it while you can if you're interested in refurbishing your DS Lite. Recommended! JAY48.

Pros: product came with all the pieces fitting is easy and practical, can be made ??by anyone without any problem, besides being beautiful,beautiful paint color, drawing well done, came complete
