Driver-free Universal USB IR Media Remote Controller for PC (2*AAA)

Pros: This remote is about the easiest PC remote ive ever seen. From the brown envelope to installed and using it, took around 3 to 5 minutes. ;) Plug it in, add batteries and it works. (Im using vista ultimate x64)

Cons: The mouse seems to be a tad wonky, it will only move in steps, it wont move fluently. Each time it stops, you have to release the mouse pad and press it again to move it another step. Not a huge problem but still annoying.

Other: Cheap! Get rid of the keyboard/mouse on your TVPC and use one of these. ;) Its good enough.

Pros: This is the one of the most usefull product at DX...
It has a really small and light weight reciver with a long usb cord...
Works perfect without installing any driver...
Controller has really good build quality...
You can move mouse curser with this...
So It does not only give stop play function you can do every thing with this...

Cons: Hope to see use full driver so I can customize buttons for my needs...
Hope to see a space bar button for BSplayer...
Nothing else...

Other: This is what I’m looking for watching movies on my plasma…
You cannot buy this much use full product on market…
And also it is really cheap…
Don't think buy it!!!

Pros: - Very well made
- Windows XP recognises this device without the use of drivers
- Cheapest generic PC remote control I've seen
- Works well with most programs
- Easy to use/set up

Cons: - Multimedia buttons don't work with some programs
- Mouse movement is a bit slow
- Instructions are hilariously bad, but the device is easy enough to use you don't need them anyway
- Batteries not included

Other: Finally, a good quality and reasonably priced remote for your HTPC!

Pros: - Very cheap. - Works fantastic (tried with Windows XP and Media Player Classic). - Long wire receptor. - Mouse function works perfect, better than expected. - Works with only 2 AAA batteries (tried mine with 2 Soshine of DX, worked great). - Instructions with key notes included. - Great range. - Driver free (just plug it and forget).

Cons: - None (perhaps crappy package).

Other: Get this if you need a remote for your PC and don't want to spend much money. Excellent quality for the price. (Please, excuse my bad English :s)

Pros: great for using pc with tv and being able to change clips or going to next song changing volume.

Cons: not able to customise the remotes builtin short cuts. the power button is not good it doesnt gives you chance just shuts pc down.

Other: one of my best purchase, if all you need is simple remote to navigate throug premade playlists etc on pc and turn pc off while in bed and too lazy to get up.

Pros: Finally a remote for my pc again!
It works great, no drivers needed so it should work with any OS(just like a keyboard and a mouse ;) ).
Much cheaper then others.
The range is also great.
Many buttons.

Cons: Well the mouse button isnt smoothly if you aim it from far away but I guess thats a limitation to the infrared signal but it still works good enough.

Other: I use to have a remote for my pc but it broke down shortly after I bought it for €30 this one cost only €10 and works grat

Pros: Works OOB with Ubuntu 8.04, just plug in the usb receiver and off you go. The email, web page, close, volume & mouse all work without installing any driver. Not tried all the functions but only wanted it for a media center unit.

Cons: No batteries supplied ;-(

Pros: This is the best remote i have bought. Bought one for my XP media center project and it worked straight away. Have also tested it on Linux and Windows Vista computers and got the same result there. The shortcuts works great.

Cons: -Not the best build quality.
-Mouse can be a bit "jumpy".
-No batteries included.

Other: Good remote, nice price. If you need a remote controller for your PC, this is the one to buy.

Pros: This thing is awesome. No drivers needed and my vista laptop picked it up right away. The mouse movement is smooth and sleek. The video rev makes it look a bit jittery but its not. Just like a standard mouse. The Internet key, email, key and the close key work great. Also the mouse options keys work as you would expect. The remote is very well built and its much nicer in the hand than you would expect based off the pictures.

Cons: Doesnt come with batteries. But hey also ordered some rechargables in my last order so no worries there.

Other: Buy it if you want to use a remote on your pc. I use this to watch netflix on my LCD tv. No need to buy any of those other optiosn when i can do it from my pc which has hdmi to my lcd.

Pros: Having my HDTV connected to the computer and using the computer as a media center, this remote controll was just the thing to get. now i dont need to go back and forth between the computer. and i can sit on my butt all day eating pizza and drinking coke.

Cons: the remote cant handle long distances and you must point it directly at the source.
Not that many programmable buttons, but I didnt need that anyways.

Other: Great if you have a mediacenter like i have.
