  • Nice open source oscilloscope !

Pros: -It as most of the function of a desktop oscilloscope. (Automatic measurment of: Frame/sec, Vbatt, Vpp, Vdc, RMS, min, max, frq, cir, duty cycle, TH, TL, ch.A+ch.B, ch.A-ch.B, ch.C or ch.D, ch.C and ch.D, triggering on rinsing/falling, Vth .....) -It is very portable (small and light weight) -It is open source!!! -It is updatable. -The sample rate is more than enough for most electronic application. (I have mesured signals up to 8 MHz without problems) -There is an integrated function generator going from 10Hz to 8MHz (ie. an output that can be reprogramed to send test signals to another device ... Again, it is open souce!!!) -One can put up to 4 differents programs at the same time in the device.

Cons: -There is no manuals with the device, but one can find manuals on the internet. -The interface and the buttons functions are a little complicated at first, but on get used to it in a matter of minutes. -I didn't found any XY ploting option, but it is open source, so I can make one! -I didn't found any FFT option ... but again, it's open source! -It only comes with one probe and one digital cable. I had to buy spare "MCX Probe Kit (X1 X10) for DSO Quad" , spare "Digital probe for DSO Quad" and some "BNC to MCX Converter". Posting rules doesn't allow me to tell where, but if one does a little research on the web, they are not very hard to find. It could be nice if DX sold them too!

Other: -If one is looking for a simple small oscilloscope and is ready to pay a little more, this is a very good buy. -If one is looking for an open source device wich can be transformed into almost anything from mini video game console to in the field customised debugging device for your products ... This is a freaking awesome buy!

  • Really good pocket osciloscope

Pros: Great open source osciloscope. It works great even without calibrate it. Comes with last version of firmware and app. Comes ready to use (after giving a full charge to the battery of course). Very usefull portable device. Great sample rate.

Cons: It comes with no user manual (but you can found it on the web). It could come with extra apps on it, but again you can download it from the net. I've installed on mine a logic analizer and a frequency response plotter. It could come with another pair of probes.

Other: Great device. I recomend it. Good buy.

Pros: Its relatively easy to operate when you figure it out. Its compact, portable and it has output generator (square, lowbitrate-sinewave, triagnle, saw) with adjustable frequency. 2-analog inputs, and 2 digital. Battery big enough to finish your measurement, without need of charging. :)

Cons: Its hard to operate it at first, but you will get to it. Capacitive calibration is problematic due construction of the input section.

Other: Max input voltage 80Vpp Charged via USB, runtime on battery havent found yet. (1000mah lipo) - pl384070 I recommend, when you buy it, to remove the back cover and adujst those sharp points on it that could damage the battery.

  • Great tool!

Pros: Works perfectly. I've got HW revision 2.70 and the latest software. Probes are fine and very convenient, esp. the one with the Y-connector. On seedstudio you can find alternative software and additional apps, I recommend Logic Analyzer and PAWN/USB protocol analyzer. Also you can find app for FFT, can be useful sometimes.

Cons: Not really a con, but packaging was very flimsy - just a plain cardboard box that got crushed in the mail. However the device is intact and works perfectly. Device is not calibrated, probes are not compensated - can be easily done. No documentation was sent, but it is available on seedstudio site. User interface took some time to get used to, but anyway it's opensource, don't like it - fix it!

Other: If you do electronics or car repairs - buy it without hesitation. I have RIGOL DS105, but this one is sometimes more convenient, due to the size and logical analyzer.
