Other: I you need a really simply lamp with soooo simply power (1xAA) for common cases - buy It. 19$ is not so much for a little perfection (so if you plain to use them often - you maybe will bored with 3-mode, see 'cons')

Pros: I got this light to as my EDC light, I work in maintenance in a large old office building with a lot of dark corners. This light fills the bill for a pocket tool. #1 It's well made. Threads are smooth, O-rings are lubed, Pocket clip is sturdy. Fit and finish are first rate. Clickie is tight to case and operates smoothly. #2 It's Small. I need a small light to use to find things in dark crevices. This fits unobtrusively in the pocket allowing me to get to keys or my SAK. #3 Common power source. Working in an office batteries are not an issue other than fit, the company buys AAs AAAs and Ds so this AA light works.s the light is worthless to me. #4 Easy to use. 3 modes with memory, no instructions needed. #5 Bright. Though nowhere near 240 lumens (my guess is more around 150) It is as bright as i really need.

Cons: #1 Brightness. It nowhere near advertised specs. #2 Power modes close. High power is good. Low power mode is way too bright for reading and will still blind you.

Other: This light will work for my job. Only you can decide if it's right for your job.

Pros: + Very well finished, adjustment of the different pieces seems to be very good + Powerful and even beam + Compact size, useful clip

Cons: - Tailcap switch is not very easy to reach with the thumb, it's a bit far in the tube - When off, the switch rattles a bit - Compared to AAA model like the Akoray K106 it's a bit large and long to carry in my inner suit pocket, but it's still low profile enough

Other: Apart for the switch, the general finish of this flashlight is quite impressive for this price. Sure it's still more expensive than a lot of other models on DX, but it's still a very interesting offer which can compare to well-known and pricier brands. Mine really uses a XP-G emitter, as advertised on the page.

Pros: +The light looks really nice, the size is just perfect and feels good in hand. +Really nice light with plenty of useful spill. +The threads came lubed. +Glass lens should survive the inside of my pocket without scratches. +XP-G R5 LED +Metal clicky. (read cons) +Solid clip. (read cons)

Cons: -As others have mentioned the clicky rattles, makes the construction feel less nice, although I still like it better than a rubber one. Don't know about water resistance though. -Clip attached so strong that its not very removable, at least not without scratching the light. -Modes are useless (medium too strong, strobe too slow), whilst in medium the driver produces a high frequency sound. Would be way better in 1 mode.

Other: Considering the cons, the price should be lower, there are cheaper R5 alternatives to to buy without some of these problems. The Trustfire R5-A3 (sku.39062) and UniqueFire G10 (only 14 dollars, sku.55244) come to mind. Although if one wants a really good looking light this is still a decent buy.
