EasyCAP 4-Channel 4-Input USB 2.0 DVR Video Capture/Surveillance Dongle

Pros: Windows xp found the device straight away loaded drivers and cctv software from the disc without a hitch,works far better than the cheap dvr pci cards on ebay. Good price

Cons: The supplied software (Multiviewer)is very basic and a bit flaky

Pros: Works on Windows XP with drivers included. Included software is easy to use. Many capture cards have very buggy soft but this seems nice. You can use one channel per time or switch between them with constant time interval you select. For example every 1 second, then you have overview of all channels and you can force to see one channel only.

Cons: If i use this card with other software, it is one input card, as expected but strangely it's always set on input 2, not 1.

Other: Good product for this price/functions.

Pros: It has a well finished device cover and cables. Also comes with a USB cable extensor.
Quick detects video and although simple, the software is very intuitive and easy to use.
Motion detection alerts via e-mail and audible alarm works fine.
Also worked on Windows XP SP3 and Vista SP1 with no problem.

Cons: It says it supports remote surveillance and PTZ control over the internet just using a web browser and also dynamic DNS. However, with the software it cames with (MultiViewer) it is NOT POSSIBLE to do!!! That´s a pitty because it limits overall features of the device. Tried on other software like Active Webcam and, as already said on other reviews, it really works in only 1 channel, the channel 2 for any odd reason.

Other: If all you want is a DVR and/or just is going to watch de camereas through a PC monitor and receive alert by e-mail, it´s the right choice with a very good cost-effective price.
If you want to watch from the internet wherever you are, you´d better consider buying another item. But the most simillar product costs about 40 dollars: sku: 15748. And I don´t know if it really works as advertised either.

Pros: this is a nice product, the pack is ok and the rca color and numbers makes it east to identify.
after installing the driver it works easily.
picture is at ok quality

Cons: the software isn't so good, sometime it's a problem to see a picture from the cameras even if it is properly installed,
needs to close and re open the program to work

DO NOT try if you have only USB 1.1

Pros: -Very portable
-The build quality is great

Cons: -The software is not that great;
the motion dection does not work very well as it takes one picture and does not take another for 3-5seconds;
it does not support network viewing;
while recording if the camera is disabled then the alarm doesn't even sound until you stop recording!;
the STMP mail function does not work at all for me

Other: Buy it if you need to capture a small camera that uses AV

Pros: For about $16 ($18 and change when I bought it), the EasyCAP is an excellent bargain for those who just want to display up to 4 video cameras plus an audio channel and have some sort of capture capability for both the video and still pictures. It also provides a time stamp and a user customizable channel identifier. The EasyCAP also includes both video signal loss and motion alarms that actually work very well (and have adjustable sensitivity).

Cons: This product suffers the same shortcomings as most products of this nature. The hardware is excellent but, the software package is weak. The EasyCAP connects easily to both the computer and video/audio devices. The software basically does its job but, is poorly thought out and tested. As a result, beyond doing the basic tasks, the software either doesn't support what you want to do or its features simply don't work.
One feature that's touted but does not work is the e-mail notification feature. I can't get it to connect to my ISP's mail server (I use a local ISP rather than one of the internet big boys so, it should work).
The user guide is okay for the initial setup but is essentially worthless for explaining usage of the EasyCAP. It does little more than parrot the words you can see in the various panels on the screen.

Other: Is anybody out there continuing to update and support this fine little piece of hardware with some better and more useful software?

Pros: Bem pequeno e com bom acabamento.
Funciona sem com ou sem o software de monitoramento. Dá para capurar vídeos de fitas VHS.
A qualidade da captura é muito boa, mesmo com 640x480x30 FPS não perde quadros.

Cons: Sem o software de monitoramento só dá para usar a entrada 2 do dispositivo.
Se as quatro funcionassem, um outro sofware de vigilância poderia ser utilizado.

Other: Mesmo precisando do atendimento, foi uma excelente compra.
Usei num projeto no meu trabalho e funcionou melhor do que o esperado

Pros: - Cheap video receiver for up to four cameras/inputs
- Works with video balons, BNC connections (with adapter)
- Easy to install / Use

Cons: There are no cons with the hardware (though the audio input is odd, and I can't seem to make it function)
The software provided with this device looks promising but completely fails when in use. None of the proclaimed features work whatsoever (email, motion sensor, recording, etc) and it's actually a terrible ripoff of an actual software (easyviewer)
The software will display your camera(s) provided you select the correct setting (ntsc/pal/etc) and you must select the correct setting everytime you open the software or change camera views.

Other: Buy this if you can find some software that will work with it. Good luck, though, because nothing will.
A waste of money IMO, better off buying the real deal.

Cons: Software is useless and we actually found the chip-set driver and this allowed us to use it in WMP classic and this worked great Can be used as CCTV recorder and super cheap Video is not amazing but totally watchable
