What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: - Small size.
- No external powersource, completely USB powered.
- Supports both NTSC and PAL.
- Have audio inputs in case you don't want or can use the line in on your soundcard.
- Unbeatable price. Have seen the same product for 3x the price.
Cons: - If used in with the higher resolutions the deinterlacing isn't that great but I'm not sure if it's the software I am using (not the bundled one) or if it is a hardware issue.
Other: I bought this to be able to connect composite equipment to my laptop and for my needs it is perfect and I can't complain about the price.
I have not tried the S-Video input yet.

Pros: * Cheap!
* No external power needed
* Small and convenient form factor
* Easy to get it running
Cons: * My unit seems to have some kind of (hardware-related?) problem where the sounds starts to hiss/crackle after a while when recording.
It should be possible to overcome this by using line-in to record audio instead of the audio input on the device, since video works fine all the time.
Other: Amazing that you can get a capture device for such a low price!

Pros: It's fairly easy to setup and use and takes pretty decent quality captures. I hooked it up to my wii and I was able to play the wii on my laptop without any lag whatsoever. The sound was good and came out clear. The actual casing of the easycap feels like really good quality plastic.
Used the software that came with it which was ulead video studio ce 10 while you may want to go another route for merely watching video or playing a game on the wii for recording it's quite easy and makes it into mpeg2 format.
I have vista and it worked without a hitch for me and after trying a couple of tuner throughout the years for usually more expensive it's nice to have one that works.
Cons: The ulead software that came with it is decent for recording however for watching without recording you should try out some others, media player classic works pretty well. Could never get sound from preview with ulead either.
As for the actual device I can't see any.
Other: Really good price, I have seen worse devices for much more than what's here. It's a no brainer type thing which is good when you want to easily convert old home movies etc.

Pros: It was cheap so im not out alot of money.
Cons: Well the installation disk takes forever to load the program, I never could get it to work on my laptop, so it sits in my cabinet unused.
Other: seems to work good for others but i didnt have the patience to keep messing with it to figure out the problem. would have returned it but had it for over a month before i got around to try to use it.

Pros: - Easy to set up
- Cheap
- Portable
Cons: - Windows XP SP3 wants to install driver every time you plug it in. I get around this by having 8 USB ports and never unplugging it.
- There's a consistent line at the bottom of the video. May be an artifact of the camera though.
- Default AVI encoding is horribly interlaced.
Other: Good deal if you have a bunch of videotapes you want to convert to digital inexpensively.

Pros: -The best thing about this one is, its cheap.
-The build quality is pretty good for its price.
-Easy to use
-Works on windows 7 32bit, have not tried this device on 64bit sorry.
-The software with it works.
Cons: -it doesn't record pal-60!! i had to put it to pal-50. but some games don't support this (xbox360) and NTSC only gives me black and white.
-had to install the driver a second time after my first reboot for some reason. but it wasn't a real problem, do a manual driver update and chose the driver folder on the CD.
Other: Great product... if you've only got a need for either NTSC or PAL-50.

Pros: This device works quite well in Linux using a work-in-progress driver called stk11xx.
The usb webcam bridge chip which is an stk1160 seems to send the video back to the PC without compression, utilising the bandwidth available in USB 2.0 compression is hardly needed, and this results in a very good quality picture.
Very impressed with the picture quality, frame rate and response (using the S-Video input).
Cons: Device driver support is not so good (for all OS's).
I have read that Vista has much trouble and Vista 64bit does not work at all - but have a search in Google as this might change.
Other: It would be hard to find a comparable device for a similar price. For the functionality and quality of the video, it is a bargain! I recommend it.

Other: Buy it if you need to reacord a video game or you want to play video games on the computer screen.

Pros: I receive the av/converter with the same packaging as the photos in the webpage, I made some copies of my old vhs's tape, the max resolution it's 640x480, nice for websites. I installed it at a Dell notebook d620 (WinXP) and work perfectlly.
Cons: The manual it's small ; the resolution could be better, but enough for the price. The converter isn't compatible with other OS , just Windows.
Other: nice product, good realtion quality-price
