EasyCAP USB 2.0 Audio/Video Capture/Surveillance Dongle with Mac OS Support

Pros: -you can capture anything that has a composite or svideo output. -supports pal-60/ntsc-433 -comes with the software Ulead VideoStudio SE

Cons: -using windows 7 x64 means finding the right drivers troublesome. -max resolution is 720x568 -depending on the software there may be some input delay (works great in the bundled software and on media player classic)

Other: Can be a bit hard setting up the device depending on what os you have, but once you get everything up and running, everything works great.

Pros: very small excellent quality video capture videoglide s/w lets you chose various video formats captures sound and video has Svideo as well as composite video inputs

Cons: The s/n software provided from MACOS (Videoglide) is an illegal number and is not supported by the vendor. I had to purchase a new s/n for $29. DX would not supply a valid s/n despite me pointing out they claimed it comes with MACOS S/w

Other: Excellent piece of h/w just factor in $30 extra for working s/ware I am using Snow Leopard OS

Pros: Very small. Works fine and don't heat too much. Contains all needed (about hardware)

Cons: I'm using Mac OS 10.6.3 and VideoGlide 1.4.1 (30$). As ndillane, I had to buy a licence of VideoGlide. But I think it's normal, you can't have the product (easy cap) and all software (pc/mac/linux) for 0$. But this product shouldn't by solf with a false key. I use this product to play WII on iMac 24". Sound is great, but scaling from the "sd" resolution can be a limitation for some persons.

Other: This product works fine with Mac OS. For others OS (like Linux) it may be a bit hard if you don't know anything avout video grabber etc.

Pros: This is a good item, I plugged it into my Windows 7 computer and it automatically found the drivers, I didn't use the software it provided me, I instead used VirtualDub as it is a lot better

With the right settings I got fantastic (it's not HD, but looks really good) quality.
I used this with a PS3 and an Xbox 360, this is the PAL 60 version so no problems.

Cons: None, I can't complain I knew what I was buying and I got it, I didn't expect SUPER HD 1080P MEGA AWESOME QUALITY. But it's better than a lot of the stuff here.

Other: BUY IT GOOD FOR MACHINIMA, AND RECORDING GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE, FORGET THE OTHER EASYCAPS.

Pros: * Video works like just as promised. It supports - Pal60 & Pal50 - Ntsc 433 -: The video is even more crisp than the other easycap versions. I own the easycap dc60 version which only supports pal50 :- * The build quality is sturdy, however, you may get a broken led but it's not really an issue. * You get a free key for ulead video studio 10 * A nice white glossy finnish rather than matt black.

Cons: * No audio for windows 7 users! During my research of finding the drivers for windows 7 (64-bit) i never came across a solution for the sound problems. The only solution is to get an adapter for the sound cables and connect it into the MIC. This only grants you Mono audio in most cases. - No Win7 drivers - The disc is pirated and unreadable. - The LED/lamp on the dongle was broken. (this doesn't effect the recording results mind you.)

Other: I'm partly happy with my purchase but then again, Dealextreme is not to b blamed for all faults. The price is excellent as always and I really do recommend this product. PS: This is the version i was buying the first time around, but got another version from the store

Pros: Pretty good video quality, considering the composite cable Affordable price Pal 60, Pal 50 and NTSC 433 support Good build quality Comes with a USB extension Both S-video and composite input

Cons: Installation is a bit difficult Comes with a pirated CD, I didn't bother using it

Other: It does the job just fine, the video quality is pretty much the best you can have with composite. Buy it if you want to do machinima videos, gameplay, montages etc.

Pros: - Excellent price

Cons: - I'm using on an Intel iMac. For some reason I can't make to record the audio through the RCA cable provided. I'm recording mainly video footage from a VHS player, so I have to use another normal RCA cable from the VHS player connected to the in-built mic on the iMac. I can watch and listen normally when I'm playing the tape, but when capturing the sound doesn't come out, although it records, just for previewing it can be a bit annoying.

Other: It's worth it, for my VHS capturing purposes it works really well.

Pros: super useful! Can be used to record from composite or s-video or to turn your PC into an extra monitor for watching videos or playing games.
The inclusion of PAL60,NTSC433 is extremely useful.
easycap is recognised by most video capture programs

Cons: dont really like the included software, but I didnt buy it for that so not a big deal for me.

Other: if you want to capture/watch VHS, games, TV or anything else on your PC, I cant think of anything out there that is this good at this price.

Pros: It works as advertised! Just plug in, install a proper video capture application, run it and start recording... and bang! you are now digitializing all your family events that were recorded on VHS :)

Cons: After a while it gets pretty hot, but it doesn't affect the recording. The attached USB extender cable stopped working after a few use, but it's okay as the device still works perfectly.

Other: As I stated earlier this is a musthave for everyone who has family memories on VHS :)

Pros: This is a mac ready device that allows you to connect the Mac to your XBox. This free's up your TV and get the big screen of you Mac.

Cons: Need to reset some parameters to make it work. There are plenty of You Tube videos around on how to make this work, though it does require a little understanding and a number of steps to finally get it to work.

Other: Free's up your tv and get the big iMac screen for less than $20.
