Pros: + Packaging, manual and CD in full understandable English + S-Video input + Comes with USB extension lead + Driver CD very easy to use and manual extremely handy and correct + Comes with Good video software & working serial code + Full compatibility with video software

Cons: + Installing Drivers is annoying at first, the device appears as many different controllers and getting the installation perfect is quite picky, but once complete works like a dream + Could do with a Video and Audio Inverter to let you plug the EasyCAP into something, not something into it

Other: If you want to record TV to your PC, get this. It is easy to use, small and handy.

Pros: Easy to use, took less than five minutes to install everything and running. Resolution is not too bad (any higher and my computer probably can't handle it too well anyway).

Cons: Could be slightly cheaper.

Other: Get this if you want to record analogue videos to your computer.

Pros: CHEAP way to get stuff captured from other video sources. The usb extension cable is a very nice bonus since this product is semi-geared towards notebooks.

Cons: Driver on CD is Syntek STK1160 instead of the STK1150 in the instructions. I had to manually find the STK1150 device when installing. Also, not very good instructions... various grammer errors etc. Absolutely NO contact or website information in case there is a problem. Must purchase RCA/S-Video cable separately in order to use device.

Other: If you make sure that you install the driver, then plug in USB, then plug in the RCA/S-Video into TV-OUT (not directly to VCR or DVD etc). Finally in Ulead make sure that you right click on the video input and make sure that it is set to 'Video Composite' and that the audio is set to the USB device. Can be frustrating to configure if you don't know the diagram of how it is all set up.

Pros: Can be used to record video from your DVD/VCR/Cable box but unlike other capture device, can also be used as a video camera source for Yahoo Messenger or MSM Messenger. This means that you can send your DVD/VCR/Cable box video signal trough Yahoo or MSN messenger (usually you can only do that with a webcam).

Cons: Driver a bit tricky to install.

Other: Great price. Easy to use.

Pros: Works well for grabbing analog video and converting into digital.

Cons: Not as user friendly as it could be, but for the price you cant beat it.

Other: Cool gadget at a good price...can't get it this cheap on ebay!!!

Pros: Works great. Especially useful for recording videos to show others things in video games.

Cons: The resolution isn't as great as it could be, but it's decent. It's also kind of a pain to set up. Use the program that it comes with first and mess around with the options until it works - specifically resolution and input options. There is a little lag, so it's not ideal for playing games with. Not really ideal for watching TV either, because the resolution isn't that great, but if you don't mind that I suppose it would be fine.

Other: If you think you'll ever want to record part of a video game or want to digitize your VHSs, get it now so you don't have to wait for it later.

Pros: - Quite cheap for what you get
- Installation was a breeze, I installed the capture software that came with it, but used it only once.
- Can reach the proper PAL resolution I needed.
- It came with a USB cable extender which proved to be very useful in my case.

Cons: - The video quality isn't that good, you can detect some "noise" on the image (connected via S-Video)
- There is a lag between the actual video and what u get on the PC, but the audio and video are well synced, which is the most important part

Other: Buy this one, no problems installing the driver on windows XP. Worked great with all capture software, worked best with Nero showtime, single click record analog video/audio to DVD,

Other: buy it if you want to post vids of video game gameplay
while youre at it buy some female splitters of this website so you can play on your tv while recording on your computer

Pros: This is a fantastic piece of kit for the price. I've been looking for this for a long time now and have once again found it on Dealextreme. I have used it to copy all of my 12 year old camcorder tape's and the picture is great. Build quality is great and got it working within minutes. I use Nero to transfer my vids and it's easy as can be.

Cons: The only problem i can see or should i say hear is the sound quality. There is quite abit of white noise when playing the video. Like i said above the tapes i'm copying are 12 years old so it could either be my old camcorder sound quality, the old tapes or the easycap.

Other: If Your looking to copy your old video's like i did then buy this NOW. For the price it's quite amazing. Even if it was double the price i would buy it, it's that good.

Pros: The item is well made It has great quality cables. Its small and fits nicely on the desktop. It comes with a CD inside and instructions (that I never used)

Cons: The drivers cause a few problems in Windows XP. I am a mac os x leopard owner and I bought this to transfer my VHS onto DVDs. Here is how you can get this to work: There is a DC60 version which works in Windows and a newer DC60+ that has software for a mac. I bought this not knowing there was a mac version but got this to work on bootcamp. This is a DC60. You need to compress video using DIVX Codex 6.8 on 1st pass. Also, the included software DOESNT work, but amCap v9.2 is free and works great.

Other: Compared to everything else out there, I'm not sure how the other ones work, I'm sure there are some that are more pain free. If I were to do it all over again I'd probably pay a bit more to get something that will save my time and give me less of a headache.
