What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Works fine, a lot of possibilities like microstepping in 1/2. 1/4, 1/8 stepping mode, enable, sleep... It is very easy to use, on the internet you can find a lot of tutorials how to use it with breakout board or arduino.
Cons: Not designed for big projects, gets really hot after few minutes of work. It would be better if there are also headers soldered to the board.
Other: Good driver for small hoby projects, worth of buying.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This looks to be the original EasyDriver V4.4 Stepper. That's probably the reason why the price is steeper. I like the fact that it comes without header pins unsoldered – that way I can adapt it to my project. Based on the Allegro A3967 controller. Microstepping, sleep mode, all-in-one package for bipolar motors.
Cons: This is more of the design of the EasyDriver board itself, but the pinouts for the stepper motors are not spaced for screw terminals, but plain 0.1" headers. Something to bear in mind when hooking up your steppers. Would have been good if it came supplied with a suitably-sized heatsink, I used SKU: 35816 and had to cut it down to size with a rotary tool.
Other: If you're tired of the limitations of the L298N or ULN2003-based steppers, try these out. Way better control and microstepping functionality awaits.
