EG-A6 Car Radar Detector

Pros: Easy to use, good build and case is OK, good manual it can recognize station radars (Europe)

Cons: To much false alarms, also in city mode
I'm not sure if it is KU enabled because is not written on the box or on the product, but only in the manual!? On the product are onyl freq X, K, KA!

Other: For this price and if you whant to hear a lot of false alarms then go for it!

Pros: Very well put together. Each part of the package looks and feels like a high quality product. For this price you could expect something with half the quality of manufacture and materials and still be happy with the purchase.

Cons: Old tech. Not tested, but presumably not undetectable. When I tested it with an X-band transmission it was detected but with the voice warning "K-band" Can't disable frequencies (X-band is not used by police where I am and is also the source of most detectable non-police transmissions so it gets irritating)

Other: For just over $30US this is an impressive device at least as far as build quality is concerned. As or performance vs more expensive equipment (which, to be honest most of you would want to know about) I am not really in a position to test.

Pros: Well built, looks very good. A long cable included (long enough to place it on front window and place the cable around the window).

Cons: All alarms are fakes. Used for more than 1000 km. Still having "radar K (or Ka) band". Even no radars around. All radar alarms almost non-stop even outside of town in both modes (highway or city mode). When I came close to radar, still the same alarm, no strenght signal detection (even it is supposed to do so).

Other: The only good thing is that the radar detector is well built.

Pros: It works. Good range of detection that means some false detections of door openers. Two sensibility settings named "city" and "highway" mode. Names say everything. Even i city mode it detect speed showing device (sign that shows you your speed) for 300-400 meters even it is not open space.

Cons: No Laser detection. There are not assembled components inside for laser detection. It might be important for some users, especially if they really need laser detection. My opinion is that if you detect laser it is too late so I do not care. Anyway the description and manual does not say what device really can. In some places I found really false detection every time I go there. Even there is no door opening system near. Probably some emission from electronic device in houses around the place. I'm not sure if the volume settings works. The mute definitely works, but other 3 levels seems same. It changes volume of information message when pressed button, but radar detection message seems same volume always.

Other: USB cable probably works with specific device only. My PDA can only be charged. It do not detect anything, also PC does not detect any device when this device is connected to PC. On the unit plastic there are numbers 9600 and 4800 that can mean serial line speed. The USB connector probably is serial cable and not real USB. So it will not work with normal PDA or navigation.
