What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It pairs with device (Samsung Galaxy Ace) in standard time, sends data immediately and it's really small, light and fits perfect to adapter. It started working on first attempt without troubles and connected to device nicely. Once connected, it provides very good service on smartphone with proper application.
Cons: No cons up to now, except CD was not recognized by PC (even if I don't need it).
Other: very good choice
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Works without hassle, tried with Torque Pro for Android and Alfa Romeo 2.4 JTD / Ford Galaxy 2.3. Includes an activity/power led also (did not see it mentioned in the description). Also includes some nice software on CD although most are PC/Windows based.
Cons: The pairing code was not mentioned anywhere, after some googling I found that the one to use is 1234.
Other: Go for it, no problems encountered.

Pros: Very small Goof build quality Works fine on Brazilian Civic 2011 Works fine on Android device with Torque App
Cons: The device is always on, even with the engine off and the car locked, could be detected and paired. It features a red LED that is always on when connected. Needs to insert password on every use
Other: A good buy, but always stay connected, demanding that connects the device in the car only when it is used at the risk of discharging the car battery.

Pros: - nice build quality - works excellent with Torque Pro - easy install - works with all vehicles equiped with OBD2 - nice fancy look - no problems with instalation
Cons: - no instructions in any form - thanx to Google it helped a lot :) - included programs ar not up to date
Other: Very good tool for everyday use. I tested it and use it only with android phone - with Torque Pro. I will test other apps as soon I have chance to. Buy it you will not regret it.

Pros: Little and efficient. Light inside to remenber to unplug. Cd with plenty applications (not tested)
Cons: Stay working with motor off.
Other: Parameters and informations off your motor depend of your vehicule. Torque Pro faqs mention that some cloned OBD dongle don't work with some Ford vehicules. I didn't already tried on other vehicule but mine seem to work fully: it can read real time motor RPM, load, volume efficiency...

Pros: It is small enough to stay in the fuse compartment of my Citroen Xantia 2.0 HDI, where the ODB socket is. The adapter copes with this vehicle what is not common for french cars (their board computers use usually EODB protocol). Works with all free Android ODBII applications. Quite easy to use - just put in the ODB socket, turn the key on "Contact" and start the software. I use most often the Android's "Torque" - no problem with it.
Cons: For this price - no much drawbacks found. Only the power consumption is too big to leave the device permanently in the socket. It is able to suck out the accumulator in couple of days (the ODB socket is powered directly from the accumulator). So I push the adapter in the socket only when I need it and pool it out when finish the diagnostic.
Other: Super for the price!

Pros: Very usefull device that can help you monitor your car's perfomance. Bluetooth functionality makes it perfect - no more hanging cables lying around the car. You can either use your Android phone with some app form PlayStore (like Torque) or use a bluetooth adaptor in your laptop and use this like an ordinary OBD USB connectior. It has o small CD included with a bunch of ELM/OBD apps for PC.
Cons: No cons - this is a usefull gadget. One thihg only to remember - don't leave it connected if you are not using it. It can suck out all the power from battery (but this is typical).
Other: Great for the price and usefull!

Pros: Standard (OBD-II); Tested on Toyota Avensis 2004; Tested with the following android phone: Samsung I9001 Galaxy S Plus Tested with Torque Engine Management Diagnostics and Tools (Torque Pro (OBD 2 & Car)) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque Successfully reads and clears engine trouble codes. Reads a lot of information, available on the OBD bus (throttle, temperature, rpm, speed, etc.) Due to the small size fits very well when connected (on Toyota Avensis connector is placed very close to the driver's feet) and there is minimal risk to kick it accidentally. Looks and feels solid (good craftsmanship).
Cons: Always ON - even when the ignition switch is pulled out, the ELM327 OBDII V1.5 is powered, so drains your battery. Not possible to change pair code. Pair code is automatically switched by the device between 0000 and 1234 on each plug. It's quite annoying to guess the code. Needs pairing each time when plugged. No indication in the package which PIN should be used for pairing / no description of the pairing procedure.
Other: Quite useful device to communicate with your OBD-2 compliant car. Combined with the proper software is a must-have, especially for the owners of Toyota Avensis, where things are made quite simple - not much information is displayed. Saves money on DTC clear operation. Totally satisfied by the purchase. Actually exceeded my expectations for such low price.
