External Battery Grip for Pentax K7 DSLR

Pros: Very good build K-7 grip. Almost not noticable that it isn't the original grip. All the switches works very good and feels the same as the original switches on the camera itself. It has metal lock pins while a lot of the not original grips on the market has plastic lock pins.

Cons: It lacks all the weather sealing, but well, it is 1/5 of the price of the original grip. So the times when it rains while you are outside taking pictures, just don't use the grip.

Other: If you are not in a situation that you really don't know how to spend all you're money, get this grip for you're Pentax K-7. You can buy 5 of these grips for the price of the original one.

Pros: Great product for the price, Good grip, Nice size, Comfortable, Easy to use.

Cons: Doesn't put the tripodsocket straight below the existing one, moving it off alignment with the lens. Not the worlds best build quality (But what do you expect from DX?)

Other: Great product for great price, but be careful, it's brittle!

Pros: Looks match the original K7 finish.
Adds extra grip/weight and professional feel to the Camera.
Much better when using larger lenses
2x Cartridge Holders gives the ability to use either AA or D-LI90 Battery.
Each container can also hold a spare SD Card.
Well packaged and includes a brief manual.
Easily attachable.
Much cheaper than the OEM BG-4 grip

Cons: Buttons and dials are a little flimsy & loose compared to the original and exhibit some play and movement when touching them.
Manual claims that it is weather sealed, but based on the weight and feel, my belief that it is not sealed from weather/dust like the original.

Other: Great price, and really an absolute buy if you own the K7.
The build quality might not be quite as good as the original, but for the price you cannot go wrong. It's an absolute must buy!

Pros: The grip is 1/6:th of the price of the original which makes it very cheap. The grip itself also looks and feels almost exactly like the original with the exception of the buttons.

Cons: The quality of the buttons aren't the best. It feels like the On/Off wheel could get broken and fall of my grip very easily. Also, some of the normal buttons don't have a "click" feeling while most others do which shows the varying quality of the components. This is a bit sad because the grip would have been perfect otherwise.

Other: This is a very good deal for a K-7 owner who is primarily interested in getting a battery grip to: * Get a better hold of the camera. * Have extended battery life. * Make the camera look cooler. If weather sealing is very important and if the buttons on the grip will be used a lot buying this grip is not a very good deal but still good.

Pros: Fits also K5!
Quite good looking device. Build quilaty is more or less OK.
Performing exactly what is required from additional battery grip.
Gives you possibility to extend number of shoots without charging to infinity (if you will use AA batteries))
Can also store additional standard Pentax D-LI90 battery.
Has special room for spare SD card.
Very good price is last by not least benefit of this device.

Cons: Build quality could be better. You can feel difference in buttons and dials operations comparing with ones on camera.
Produced from plastic, not from magnesium allow, so it's better to not drop camera with attached grip.

Other: Good and useful device for this money.
Fits both K7 and K5.

Pros: Same as Pentax D-BG4 battery grip works with lithium battery (sku.29921) and 6 AA-type batteries. All button functions are the same. I'm using it with sku.29921 lithium battery and this grip fits well on my Pentax K-5 body. It gives more power especially needed in critical application such as video shooting or live-view operations.

Cons: None at this time

Other: Worth buy for your intense camera users, both Pentax K-7 and Pentax K-5 DSLR's.

Pros: Lightweight Low price

Cons: Materials used do not match the description (no metal frame in case). The texture of the shell does not match the description (the surface is almost smooth). Functionality does not match the description (depth of field preview does not work).

Other: This product does not match the description and photos. I would not recommend to buy this grip.

Pros: Takes both recharagble battery and standard AA batteries with different inserts. Surfaces look and feel is similar to the surfaces on the camera (K5).

Cons: Tactile feel in the buttons not as good as on the camera. On/Off switch around the trigger is only for controls on battery grip and cant turn the camera on or off (however the focus depth check that is the third position works as on the switch on the camera).

Other: Good enough. Not the same quality and feel as the Pentax original but that was not expected at this price point.
