FiiO E6 Portable Headphone Amplifier

Pros: This headphone amplifier makes the sound noticable better! After using this for you won't go back! The sound improves a whole lot! It's small and don't weigh much. The battery time is great.

Cons: The buttons are a bit fiddly and small but I guess they have to be to keep the amplifier small. The wires that it came with are a bit low quality. You have to take off the bumper on iPhone 4 to be able to use this!

Other: Buy it! It's worth the money!

Other: The bottom line is if you just want cheaper headphones to be louder and sound better GET THIS! if you want more clarity in the music GET THIS! to give an extra boost in the car through aux, extra boost from the computer, heck from any audio device BUY IT!!!!

Pros: With this amp, my forgotten Philips SHP2700 headphone turned into a new headset! Now I have great bass extension on all songs. It took the place (for a while) of my beloved Koss PortaPro on my head. The ease of handling and battery life are phenomenal! The equalizer really does the job to magnify the sound of any player (even computers or TV's). The size and weight helps a lot to forget that it's really there...

Cons: No one, i really like the size and weight. There's no cons for me.

Other: Buy it before disappear from DX! But forget to use it on a cheap headphones. It's an amplifier, not a miracle maker...

Pros: I got this to go with a few different head sets and on my Shure 535 its fantastic! I brings the sound of my iPods to another level. I love it! Rechargeable battery last a long time. Best price I found was on DX. With the savings, I bought Fiio L9 Line Out Dock LOD 3.5mm Cable for Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad (5.5CM-Length) The sound quality is better with this output

Other: The Fiio E6 is a very high quality portable headphone amplifier. Of course there are always some ‘audiophile’ fractions which would never admit that a $30 amp can match and even surpass a $300 one, but that’s how it is. The E6 performs as well as the most expensive amps I’ve tried, and surpasses many of them in several performance aspects. If the E6’s circuitry would be put in a fancy brushed aluminum housing and it would be made in the USA or Germany, one could most definitely slap an upper three-digit price tag on it, and nobody would complain

Pros: It does improve overall sound quality and it pumps the bass up quite a bit!

Cons: When I got mine they were already broken.. The battery didn't work. It can't charge at all, it can only be used when connected to the power supply.. wich is a big con for me, because I want to use it on school etc.

Other: I'm not happy with my order, because it's just useless in my opinion if you can't use it portable, which it is advertised as.

Pros: - Very powerful - Clean sound, almost no noise - Useful for orthodynamic headphones that are quiet when driven directly from portable music player

Cons: - Short battery life (2-3 hours) - Not easy to open in order to repair/service

Other: Other than making the mistake of taking this out in the rain, and the somewhat short battery life, this is a very good quality portable headphone amplifier if your headphones are too quite on their own.

Other: worth every dollar You cand spend a lot more on another big audio brand amplifier, but it will works as good, or less than this one. Prety cool leds and device design.

Pros: I've got this, the Fiio E1 and a few other headphone amps. This one is of nice size, works as it should and is a must if you actually have a decent headphones. The better they are the less your iPhone or other portable music player is able to drive them. This little toy helps with it. If you listen your music with $2 headplugs, don't bother with an amp. It won't turn the junk into gold.

Cons: One more box to carry around. You have to remember to drag it around. It's up to you to decide whether that's really a con for you. The device isn't all that big or heavy, but you do need to be able to pull the cable from your player to it and from that to your headphones so in some cases it may be annoying.

Other: If you haven't had a headphone amp you don't know what you're missing. Go for it. Either pick this or any of the other options. You'll be smiling for a while. (at least if you listen to real music and not Justin Bieber ;) ).
