Flexible 2-Mode Blue Light EL Strip (DC 12V/3M-Length)

Pros: Bright, uniform, not flickering light. Flexible cord, easy to take shape. Very nice it looks in motion. Well tucked under the rubber seal the windows. Length 3m, enough to the perimeter of the rear window. Can easily be sewn into edging back seat car.

Cons: Packaging is not presentable, the adapter does not fit in a box, we have scotch-tape.

Other: Good, high quality interior design element for the car. Opportunity to demonstrate how limited only by your imagination

Pros: - very nice addition to the car
- cool looking Tron-like electric blue colour

Cons: - no adhesive supplied
- blinking mode is slow and uninteresting

Other: - nice, but would prefer if it were cheaper.
- I also bought the "Car Decoration Neon Light Strip 3ft" one.
Apart from the difference in length, connectors, and switching modes, they produce the same effect and light colour. So i guess it's up to you to decide between the two based on your own individual applications.

Pros: -Very bright

-will light brightly on 9v
- flexible and water resistent, not waterproof
-it comes with 3 modes, steady on, flash and off

Cons: - a bit too short
- cant be supmerged, unless you seal the ends and the driver
- the wire is blue when turned off, would be nice if it was white when off and blue when on.

Other: Get this product if you want to use it for clothes or car, well woth the money

Pros: Pros: -Very easy to use -Light is bright -The wire is not too thick - thats what i needed -3m lenght is a lot, you can use it for whatever you want I used mine on a Scooter, had no problems with moisture. The light is bright (not too bright), but perfect for me. Ineverter is small, that is a big +, you can put it anywhere.

Cons: The build quality of the inverter and switch could be a bit better. But doesn't make any problems. The inverter is not waterproof, so you need to put it where water can't get to it. (its the black box with the switch)

Other: Going to buy two more for my bicycle. DX offers some nice 12v compact rechargeable batteries. I'm gonna try to run it on them. I calculated a bit, looks like the power consumption is not high, thats a big + too. Worth the price!!

Pros: - Includes 12v driver
- Pre-terminated -- no soldering needed
- True EL-wire -- not an LED light-pipe.

Cons: - Noisy inverter may drive you crazy with high-pitched squeal.
- End cap is somewhat bulky, which may make it difficult to string it through a small hole.
- Inverter's 'flash' mode is uninteresting.
- Packaging doesn't match the product. The instructions on the back of the card are for LED strips, but the item inside IS a true EL wire.

Other: In general, this is a really good product if you just want to get started with EL wire. There's nothing really great about this product, but if you just want to learn about EL wire capabilities and how to work with it, this is a really good place to start. If you're serious about doing art with these, you'll probably want to use a different inverter and buy EL wire by the spool.

Pros: I bought this thing for a little fun lighting in my car !
° - The blue color is really nice !
° - The length is impressive : 3 meters !
° - Power adapter included !
° - You can cut it !

Cons: Not many cons since you buy this for a specific purpose...
° - Maybe a little more (electrical) wire between the EL strip, and the adaptor...
° - The adaptor is making some kind of high pitch noise. Unfortunately: I can hear it pretty well ... annoying, let's see if I can hide it far enough ;-)

Other: Great for DYI projects.
° - This thing is bright just enough to be clearly visible, without necessarely giving off much light around.
° - I tried it under a stairs ramp at night, and its not enough ...

Pros: SUPER bright! I have this running along the corners of my wall and ceiling in my TV room and it throws a LOT of blue light. Perfect night light, very inexpensive for the length you get. Easy to run with any old 12V AC adapter.

Cons: The converter is quite noisy. I've got mine tucked away in a corner inside a plastic vented box, which cuts down on a lot of the noise, but if you're close by you can still hear the buzzing. Not sure how that translates to longevity.

Other: An excellent product. Everyone loves how I've TRON'd up the room. It looks amazing and it only cost ~$45. I might get more to run vertically, but I think that'd look too much like a holodeck...

Pros: I use this el wire in my car. It's: - just right britness - wire can be placed on a car dashboard and does not dazzle the driver - very nice color - easy to install - very flexible - can be cut on required length - very effective accessory

Cons: The only coins is high-pitched noise produced by inverter, but it is caused by high frequency AC voltage produced, so it's rather a property.

Other: I definitely recommend this product.

Pros: Looks really really awesome, i use it as decoration in my room

Other: requires extra prep to make it work, but it looks amazing!

Pros: - Cool blue glow. Light is uniformly bright across the entire surface and, being electroluminescent, is truly omnidirectional. - Good and flexible, can be sewn into fabric (Tron costume!) - 12V inverter can be powered from a small 23A battery.

Cons: - Transformer is fairly bulky, but I believe this is necessary to drive the EL wire. - Not really a con, but it would be nice to have an SKU with a 3V inverter so we could run these off two AA batteries.

Other: A great buy.
