Pros: Nice shining coper compass with plastic glass to show the needle. Seems like it's fill's with liqued? I chekked for sure and the needle shows north.
Cons: I have a grey dot moving arround in the compass, not realy know what it is for. When moving around I see that it slows down so it has have to be some ligued inside of the compass.
Other: It works, looks like (antique) the real deal accept for the plastic cover (that could be turning arround. and it could be cheaper. The handle is not turning and could brake when you would like to twist.

Pros: It's really nice looking. It works as good as any cheap compass does. It's more of a display piece that a real survival tool.
Cons: While the case is nice metal (brass?) the innards are plastic. It would have been nice if they were as nice as the case itself.
Other: It's more of a display piece that a real survival tool.

Pros: Ok so obviously this it not a serious compass for outdoor use but it is a good compass and very pretty too. Seriously the pictures do not do it justice, it is gorgeous and a real joy to hold.
Cons: No cons its quite well made.
Other: This is a beautiful little compass for a good price. Good for general use and would make an attractive gift.

Pros: This compass works well, the flip is ok, it is solid enough and price is pretty good too.
Very easy readable, oldschool looks is fine when you receive it but looks at my cons!
Cons: The very big con, is the gold plated paint,
that looks horrible after some time, when i first received it, it was shiny like in the picture, but then because of a little humidity and whatnot environnemental conditions(it was always protected in a fanny bag, no extreme conditions neither) becomes really dirty. So now it looks very bad.
This is more a decorative item, do not take it for camping etc if you want to keep the clean shiny looks. I might post a photo when i have time.
Other: good compass but the finish gold paint is extremly bad. it might not be a deal breaker,
depends of what you are looking for.
i would have prefered without the bad paint....

Pros: - Does exactly what it should, works ok, nothing to complain here. Of course, as i understand, it will not outdo any professional equipment, but it is not supposed to.
- Surprisingly well-built.
- Looks great, will serve as a neat gift for someone who, for example, is fond of steam-punk stuff.
Cons: - Overall design could be even better. Although, it probably would cost higher.
- There's a white box that serves as a package for this item, it's not good. Doesn't protect from any mechanical damage, doesn't look good enough to be a birthday-gift-package.
Other: I like to keep some neat little presenty-things on a shelf so that when somebody's birthday suddenly comes or a colleague has a special occasion, I could attend with non-empty hands. And this little compass is exactly what I like to have at hand for that purpose - it's good-looking, it's not too expensive, and can be gifted to nearly everyone.

Pros: - The outside is perfectly smooth and shiny, finish has not rubbed off. - The outer compass ring actually turns as actual compasses do, and though this is the only plastic part it doesn't ruin the overall effect because it's so embellished. - The compass face really is lovely. Lots of tiny detailed flourishes. - Best of all? GLOWS IN THE DARK. The outer ring glows entirely, and north is indicated by two small dots with a third dot on the needle. It's that extra level of coolness.
Cons: - Ease of use: Opens easily, but the compass needle is a little dodgy. This is strictly a curio/costume piece and not for the serious navigator. It's fine if you need to only vaguely know which way is north, but you'll have to hit it a few times, shake it, and then take your best guess. - Build quality rating: I'm a little suspicious as to whether that hinge will hold. Don't hold it by it's lid when open. - Usefulness: Puh-leeze. You are not buying this because it's useful. You're buying it because it's cool.
Other: ... Now all my friends want one.
