Flood-to-Throw Cree Q3-WC Convex Lens LED Headlamp with Brightness Control (3*AAA)

Pros: Cheap, light, bright. It's plenty for night cross country, and while cycling it complements a handlebar mounted light well - bright enough to be useful for spotting potholes etc and heling out when cornering. Secure and light enough on my head that I forget it when running. Runtime exceeds an hour on 800mAh batteries. Don't know how much by yet.

Cons: It is somewhat flimsy - the hinge on thelight and wire don't give confidence. The click positions on the light don't quite match the position I'd like the light while running. At full throw the image of the emitter is a strange off-rectangular.

Other: Far and away the best value head torch I've owned.

Pros: Great head light, Bright light, Adjustable beam for focus and brightness. Very useful. energy efficient. plenty bright for a headlight Adjustments are easy to use. Almost identical to the Ledlenser version (that cost $70USD++)

Cons: had an issue with mine.. after on high for about an hour I accidentally bumped my head and it didn't work anymore. Opened it up and found a wire had come away from it's solder. It does get a little warm from use. Resoldered the wire with quality solder (and an ULTRA fine tip) and never had a problem since.
Battery cover is a little rubbery.. does the job though doesn't fit the greatest.

Other: Buy one, for all the above it's worth the 20 bucks!!! for sure

Pros: - quite bright light for a 3xAAA light. But could still be a bit brighter, for example sku.26800 is noticeably brighter with the same batteries - light weight and good strap -> comfortable to wear - power adjustment works well, minimum power is good for saving batteries when only some light is needed

Cons: - lens zoom feels a bit flimsy. However it has not broken during 6 months - zoom range could be bigger, I measured it to be about 2X - light could be more even on flood and throw could be tighter. When compared for example to the sku.26800

Other: buy this if you need a bright little headlight with power adjustment

Pros: Good lightpower. It's really lightweight, so you nearly don't feel it during carrying. Lens and LED are held in real aluminium (grey parts of front module)!! No cheap plastic, so the heat is well spread and LED stays relatively cool even on full power. Battery cover is made from rubber, the rest of case (contains electronics too) is made from plastic. And it seems to be quite rainproof. Since the front module contains only LED and on/off switch, it could be probably rainproof too. No additional useless modes like blinking etc.. I consider it as pro, because I never needed those.

Cons: The hinge for setting inclination is flimsy. And it provides only 4 angle settings which gives not much options. (0 deg. = straight ahead, 33, 66 and 90 degrees = down = only good for lighting your nose). It would be great if these 4 steps were between 0-40deg, which I used most with my previous headlight. There is no step-up converter. The electronics only regulates voltage from batteries down. So you will get full 3W only for a while even with fully charged batteries and then the lightpower will slowly fall as the batteries will get more and more discharged. (If there was a step-up converter, you'd be getting 3W continuously until batteries were fully discharged)

Other: For the price it is really good choice. It looks good and seems to be quite durable. Without the two cons I wrote, it could be super-good headlight and I would pay maybe 30USD for it.

Pros: Really easy to use, no any stupid extra settings like strobo, just on/off, flood and brightnes control. All functions are easy to use, even gloves on.

Cons: I bought two of these same time, other one died in one month. Led just dropped of from it's weldings.

Other: I think it´s good product in this price.

Pros: A very good headlamp, which provides a lot of light! $ 18 is not too expensive for this lantern. Use it often when I'm in the woods or fishing at night! A lot of light for the money!

Cons: Visual light is a little white. And when you zoom in with the flashlight, you get a square instead of a circle! It's a bit unusual, and I had to get used to it! Beyond that, not had any problem with this flashlight

Other: I like this flashlight, and it is very popular! Everything from fishing, to walk the dog, this flashlight absolutely super! Will not regret, if you buy this! Plus it's cheap!
