FLYING 30A BEC Electronic Speed Controller for Brushless Motors (ESC)

Pros: PRICE (just simply cant be matched anywhere on the internet that I have looked). seems to be good build quality. Perfect fit to my plane and has not failed me so far (but I have only flown 8-9 times)

Cons: long waiting times for shipping but I cant really complain since shipping was FREE. needs to have included instructions, especially for programming

Other: this powers my home made plane very well. i bought a 40A ESC from another website that was double the price of this one and the build quality is about the same. i crashed my plane upsidown right on the battery and ESC and it survived the durability test. you can check out the video im posting. the ESC never got hot (just lukewarm) so less heat is going to translate to longer, more efficient electronics life and less headache. i will post a follow up review maybe in six months after i get at least a hundred flights in. great product

Pros: - The PRICE is very good
- Good build quality
- User programmable
- Throttle range has self-adjusted
- Have soft start and Low-Voltage Cutoff
- Worked perfectly with my model
- Auto shut down when signal is lost
- Brake can be programmable

Cons: - Didn't came with any programming instructions (I got it on this forum)

Other: I recommend for everyone.

Pros: Good thing, but with several problems (mistakes in firmware).

Cons: 1. in CutOff mode named "Cut-Off" BEC cuts too!!! blackout on receiver, servos... this is CRASH on a flying models. in mode "Soft-Cut" BEC is works.
2. in cutting while a high temperature of ESC (110 by celsius) BEC is cutting too. dz: see p.1
also no have information for cutoff threshold. it's have 3 values: Low, Medium, High. but i'm want a digital values. ex: Low (2.9V/50%), Medium (3.0V/65%), High (3.1V/75%). is in possible? DX, please correct [u]my[/u] values above.
also need a more information about Timing. digital values of this parameter want's too.
... and this is not 30A ESC... max 25. on a 30A i diagnose intensive overheating.

Other: please, [b]CORRECT FIRMWARE FOR BEC[/b], [u]IT'S MUST WORKS[/u] AFTER CUT_OFFS!!!

Pros: This item is quite cheap and works as expected. It seems to be well built but I've never tested this with a crash. Compatible with 3s LIPO batteries.

Cons: Theres almost none information about it and I can't even find the webpage of the manufacturer. DX should include a link to it or to a datasheet. It also becomes very hot when passing 25A barrier. It says that runs motors in forward/reverse modes but I couldn't find the reverse mode...

Other: Needs manual or datasheet...

Pros: I really enjoyed this product, very good quality and good finish, serves very well helcópteros and airplanes. I have 15 engines, 20 and 25 A, and endured all without too hot. I'd buy another without doubt, like a lot of products from dealextreme, if I could buy everything.

Cons: I see none against, I think you could improve by putting connectors, maybe Pro product would more easily.

Other: Until today I did not disappointed with any product from DealExtreme, it will not be first!

Pros: I'm using it on my quadcopter and it's really great product for this price. It's very easy to use, I managed to get it working in about 5 minutes - you just connect microcontroller, brushless motor and power supply to it and it's ready to work.

Cons: I haven't found no cons for this product just yet.

Other: I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to use brushless motors - I have no problem running it for a long time with 1500KV 20A motor.
