  • Reasonably well-made

Pros: Feels good in hand, ergonomics of the knife is designed well.

Cons: Might be a bit small for people with big hands.
Handle part seems brittle, and holes in the handle is awkwardly drilled

Other: This isn't the best knife DX has to offer. But worthy of becoming a collection.

Pros: Nice looking knife Good size, sharp blade

Cons: Build quality not as good as similar Dx knives: in particular blade alignment not as precise as it could be

Other: Very nice knife that will find many uses in the cutty home.

Pros: when I first opened the white card box i was impressed, the handle is real g-10, for the money you wouldn't even get a piece of g10 not a complete knife!. the blade is quite sharp, a bit less than the small tanto Dx sold some time ago, to sharpen it you need a crock stick, no stone, the blade is slightly curved. the liner lock works, so no play. i'm so happy with it that i've been carrying it as my edc knife for over a week

Cons: clip is silver, black would be better

Other: good find for the buck! buy many

  • Nice smal Everyday Carry knife

posted by rcoville on 16:22:21 G10T 03/10/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: This knife is the perfect size and weight to stick in your pocket and carry everywhere you go. It is small enough to be non-threatening (if what others think when you pull out your knife to cut some string matters), yet robust enough for everyday common chores. The G10 scales make this knife. Not elegant, yet good grip and will stand up to a lot of abuse. Also, the help keep the weight down to a really pleasant feel. Blade comes very sharp, and the shape is good for everyday cutting tasks.

Cons: Non really. Like all knives I get from DX, this one needed pivot adjustment and lubing, but only one screw needed tightening, and not much at that.

Other: A pretty good knife for the money, especially if you are looking for a no nonsense knife for every day use.

Pros: A very handy knife that can be used as an everyday knife. It's size is perfect for pocket use. Once opened it feels very solid and the blade is locked in tight.

Cons: The knife could be sharper. I can open this knife one-handed but it is to light to swing it open. After adjusting the screws it was more easy to open.

Other: Handy and a must have

  • Competent EDC knife

posted by newquaker on 22:06:41 G3T 20/03/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: I really like the feel of this knife, and it looks good, too. It opens easily with one hand using the thumb stud. The G-10 handle gives it a solid, confident feel in the hand. The weight is good--not too light, not too heavy. Blade came factory sharp. Liner lock is the proper width and goes right into a tight position. Pocket clip is unpainted steel. Makes a good EDC knife.

Cons: Some parts appear to be high-carbon steel; this is not in itself a bad thing, but this would mean that it is probably better a knife for the pocket than the tool box.

Other: Good looking, dependable knife at a great price.

  • Nice KNIFE

posted by railey on 22:36:45 G11T 23/11/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: i just loved the feel of the G10 handle..and its light and comfty on the hands...came sharp out of the box, and the finish on the one i got was worth a mention...i like it!!

Cons: there are a couple of cons though on the knife i received, 1) was that the knife i received had a bit it a wobble when locked 2) the liner lock was not going all the way in 3)the spacer near the butt of the blade was a bit short...(not planning to return it DX :))

Other: i am so pleased with the outcome of the knife now...that i plan to fabricate washers for it to take a little bit of the wobble it still has...

Pros: -This knife is cheap. -If I only had one knife and this was it then I wouldnt be mad but I would probably look for something else too. -It works.

Cons: Plastic handle. I prefer wood or rubber. Blade dulls quickly. Just another cheap knife. Nothing special.

Other: Its cheap and if you want it get it. If you are expecting something spectacular then get a $50 brand name.
