Ford Scanner USB Scan Tool

Pros: I've tested it with 1997 Ford Escort and 2002 Ford Focus. The scanner was able to diagnose the ABS module of the Escort and all available options of the Focus (engine, ABS, airbags and instrument cluster). I guess it will be able to diagnose almost all european (and may be even US) Ford models except re-badged ones. The board, case and cable build quality is fine.

Cons: USB driver is not included in the package, but can be downloaded (google for "oe90c2610 USB driver")

Other: I must have for an experienced Ford owner for the price of two dealership diagnostics.

Pros: USB and Car powered.
Comes with software (FORDScan / FORmiDable, same program, different names, see cons below).
Very professional finish, indistinguishable from a "serious" tool.
The chip inside is a clone of the OE90C2610, a Ford-oriented OBD-II interface chip (http://www.ozenelektronik.com/downs/pdf/oe90c2610.pdf).
The interface can be dismounted easily. There are 4 screws hidden by the orange-blue sticker.

Cons: The CD I got is missing the USB and USB-RS232 drivers. Software is there, though. I got the drivers (and another version of the same soft in the CD but different name) at http://www.minsk555.narod.ru/FordScanSetup22.rar, as said in the forums.
My particular car (Mondeo Ghia 2.0i, gasoline) is not in the available options, nor is the EcoSport SUV.
I used Mondeo 2.0i (not Ghia) and some interfaces were grayed out in the software, as unavailable.

Other: A very good tool, if the software was modernized. I feel I'm being left behind with a tool for Ford, but not for "any" Ford... Anyway, this is not a DX problem.
Anyway, software is upgradable, so if a new version hits the 'Net, I'll make sure to get it.
