  • Bad sound quality

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: The package contains a Car Charger so you can charge your apple stuff and the transmitter is powered by the device(ipod or iphone).

    Cons: The transmitter works bad. Even if you set it to a frequency that isn't close to a radio stations frequency it can be hard to "find" it with your tuner. When you find the transmitter then you notice the the sound quality is really bad with a lot of noise.

    Other: Buy another transmitter!

  • Great transmitter, sucky charger

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: This FM transmitter works wonderfully with my iPhone 3GS on iOS4. The signal is strong and the sound is clear. Surprisingly, the remote also works well - it can navigate the iPhone music menus, toggle repeat and shuffle, pause/play/prev/next, and switch off the transmitter.

    Cons: The iPhone doesn't charge with the bundled car charger. This is a hassle because now the iPhone's battery drains much faster when using the FM transmitter.
    Also, a minor con is that it can't transmit on frequency 87.9.

    Other: Great buy! Too bad the charger didn't work for me, but it's still not a bad deal for the price you're getting it at.
