  • good transmitter

    posted by houthakker1985 on 03:07:44 G5T 25/05/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Plug and play!
Just stick it in your ipod/iphone and it starts to transmit.
There's a extra slot on the bottom so you can use the transmitter while charging your phone.

Cons: No cons I can think of, has a very steady signal. Rarely loses signal when in the neigborhood of disturbance sources, like a broadcasting antenna.

Other: Very good price quality rating.
If you are looking for the best transmitter out there for a bargain, this is it.

  • Best FM transmitter I've used

posted by royaloliver on 06:12:45 G7T 29/07/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Low Drain life, blue backlit LCD when changing stations, CLEAR and crisp transmission of music will full range signal to hear the bass and treble. Stylish faceplate. Does not show an incompatible accessory message. Decent range and great price.

Cons: I'm not sure if this is affects other models or if its my phone but sometimes I remove the FM adapter while the screen is on and no sound comes out of my iphone 2G's speakers. To fix the muting issue, I have to reset my phone OR put my phone in sleep mode then remove the adapter. Not a big deal IMO. Aluminum faceplate is just stuck on with foam tape to the plastic body so there's a tiny gap under it which may accumulate dust.

Other: GET IT if you need an adapter

  • Very good FM transmitter

Pros: Good range, can pass through walls. Drains power from the iStuff (c) you're connecting it to. You can use it with some rubber protectors, since the connector protrudes enough to allow that. Another connector allows you to charge while using it.

    Cons: Nothing really.

Other: 4 memories for storing best frequencies. It can be a pain to find an unused frequency these days.

  • Great value!

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Easy to use, plug it in and it plays, good design, fits really well with my Ipod Touch G2. Good quality of sound, radio picked it up nicely

Cons: Little light on the quality side, has some interference in some parts if you are driving. Looks likes it could break easily when dropped

Other: There is almost no better value if you easily want to listen to your ipod in the car without wiring the radio or doing complicated stuff with settings. Just plug the adapter in your ipod, tune the radio and you are all set to drive and enjoy you own tunes.

  • Very Nice

Pros: Cheap, good built quality, clear sound and easy of use. There is a backlite, so reading is easy. Easy to store the channel in memory. All cel sounds (exept calls) goes to FM. Music, games and even GPS voice.

Cons: Calls are not transmited to FM ... :(
When you receive a call, the FM is shutted down.

Other: Buy it ! It´s a nice gadget. In Igo Amigo 2010 version, you can even listen to music while navegating. All sounds are mutted as you receive a call.

  • Value for money

Pros: The transmitter is a great item. We had not reception problems and were able to use it while sitting on the couch, we didn't have to leave it right on the stereo for it to work. It is good value for money. It is the same width as the ipod touch so it looks good and doesn't look as if it is about to break off.

Cons: We have cases on our ipod touchs but we have to take the bottom off to be able to use the transmitter. It is a shame that the plug wasn't a little bit longer to allow for this.

Other: It is a good item just a shame the makers hadn't thought about people using cases on their ipods.

  • Great Transmitter, but Kills GPS

posted by Bitchen on 14:35:11 G8T 24/08/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Great transmitter! I suspect that it may exceed US standards and that's why it works so well, but I'm not complaining!
It'll even overpower a station with a signal.
In fact, I'll bet the guy in the car next to me can tune me in!

Cons: I AM complaining that the RF is so strong and the transmitter so "dirty" that the GPS function on my iPhone 3G stops working when I have this plugged in.
I'm not sure if it inhibits calls at all.

Other: If you don't use the GPS on your iPhone and need a GREAT cheap transmitter that works better than any Belkin (for US) unit, this is for you!

  • Simply WOW

    posted by Nikko944 on 08:29:19 G10T 01/10/2010 certificated customer

Pros: Amazing range for an FM transmitter, The option to use any channel on the radio is also an amazing option, you can charge your iPhone/iPod at the same time as you are playing music off of it. simply amazing, I've bought FM transmitters from Griffin, and from rocketfish, and this one puts them all to shame, no more should I or anyone buy another FM transmitter besides this one.

Cons: The only con to this is if you blast your music it gets a little distorted because the pickup off of this is not like a direct connection.

Other: Hands down the single best FM transmitter I've ever bought,

  • nice gadget, but lacks power

posted by verterok on 18:33:49 G11T 25/11/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Really nice and small transmitter, also you can charge your ipod while using it. - Support for multiple frecuencies - no need to external power if you ipod has enough charge.

Cons: - Lacks enough power to actually work in any recent car, needs to be really close to the radio antena/car stereo - poor coupling with the ipod connector

Other: If you'r willing to connect a extension to the back of the car stereo/antena connector in order to actually make it work. buy it.

  • No firm connection to IPOD

posted by plbagger on 15:03:26 G10T 14/10/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Easy to setup and use.
Acceptable sound quality when you get it working.

Cons: When hooking in to the IPOD the connection are to loos. This means that if the IPOD moves just a little bit it will loos connection. Hence not good for use in a car.
I brought another one as I thought I was just unlucky with the first. But the new one have got the same problem.

Other: My advise is to bye one of the other products...
