Full Replacement Housing Case Complete Parts Kit for NDS Lite (Blue+Black)

Pros: The case looks amazing. My old case was silver and had I few light scratches. So I ended up buying the blue one to keep my theme.

Cons: I was trying to put the d-pad part on and it broke my power switch but I know how to turn it on still, so its not a big deal at all.

Other: An amazing case the makes your ds look brand new. I did i few more tweaks to mine just while installing the case so mine now has this extra look and yea it is nice.

Pros: It looks fantastic. It is excellent quality. It comes with everything you could possibly need to swap cases, rather your case has a bad screen, scratched screens or anything.

Cons: DO NOT GET THIS IF YOU ARE NOT GOOD AT TAKING THINGS APART. I take apart every electronic device that I have, and I warn you... This is the most frustrating thing I've ever swapped cases on. It took me 3 hours to get everything back in perfect working order... So be very careful, this is NOT easy to do. Especially be careful with the mic and wifi wires... And remember -EXACTLY- where they go. Also have a small piece of tape on hand because you might need it to hold the wires. Also, when you fish the wifi wire from under the card case, when you go to put it back it is VERY frustrating. I stripped a zip tie and fished it through, wrapped it around the connector and then slowly and carefully pulled it back under the card slot. BE CAREFUL! I can not stress this enough.

Other: It looks great, it's excellent quality... But it's a pain in the back end. Be especially careful.

Pros: Nice case with all the small pieces that are needed - buttons, small tape stickers to put over screws, case dampers, etc. etc.
The blue color is metallic and look nice.

Cons: Not everything is a perfect fit. The A-button that followed in the shipment did not have the correct notch placement (as to not mixup buttons) which needed to be 'modified' using an x-acto knife.
I would not recommend taking apart your DS unless you feel ok with small parts and electrics. There are a number of smaller wires and screws

Other: Recommended as a replacement case for DS. Works great once put together and would by same again next time the kids get a little too crazy with the DS... Thank DX.

Pros: Bought this case because I had a broken hinge and didn't want to pay $70 for a new DS. I've never opened any electronics so I'm pretty new to this stuff but I followed some online tutorials showing you how to replace the casing and it ended up just fine. -All the parts needed were there, all the rubbery parts with adhesive, new top screen, all the buttons are there, led light plastic,screws, metal hinge piece, pretty much everything you need. It has a black surround for the bottom screen too, but I used my old one. -The blue cobalt top case is very pretty and has the gloss coating just like the original -Comes with a new replacement stylus and springs for your side buttons in case they fly off somewhere during the process -I like the new led light plastic since the green light isn't so bright as the original -Very inexpensive replacement case -Pretty good quality, I haven't seen the other replacement cases but I'm pretty happy with this one -Works well

Cons: -Took me about 5 hours, only because I had problems with the DS not turning on (I didn't connect the ribbon wire all the way in) -If you haven't done this before, follow instructions and look at the pictures that they give you very carefully -I didn't like some of the new buttons so I used some of my old ones which were the same color black(start/select button, ABXY,power button and volume) -My biggest problem was that some of the parts didn't quite fit together until I cut it a bit with my X-Acto knife. On the top screen I had to make bigger holes for the screws and while putting in the new screen they provided I got some lint on the screen (that was my fault though). You might prefer to use your old top screen since their adhesive with their new screen doesn't stick so well. -Everything else fits together pretty well but there's a .05mm gap on the left side when I close the top. I don't know whether it's because I put it together wrong or due to the case. Not a big deal though. -The bottom plastic is not the same as the original. I don't know about the other shell cases, but the plastic around the two screens and the bottom part does feel cheap and it's not glossy. It scratches quite easily. Not as good as the original material but it is a replica after all.

Other: If your old case is broken and you are okay with handling small parts with patience, this is perfect for you. It's much cheaper than getting it fixed and getting the new blue cover is great, it looks a lot better than my old black one.

Cons: Actually there are no cons because i think all the problems comes while assembling and disassembling are because of our own skills. Specially for first timers it's hard as usual anywhere, not because of parts problems. No instructions? Watch DIY videos on youtube.

Other: Good quality parts, average price, watch many diy videos on youtube before open your dsl

Pros: Good quality of the parts.Almost everything fitted well.

Cons: No cons about the parts itself. Like i read before, it depents of the skills of the person. There are enough instructions to find on the internet

Other: I had a not starting DS. Specialy have a good look at the connection of the flat cable from the upper screen. When it is not fit far enough in the connetcor your DS won't start up. (The green light will go on for on second and then nothing)You can compare it with the connector of the lower screen witch you don't have to disconnect for this job.

Pros: the case is very sturdy and work perfectly fine for a replacement.
looks very nice would have to examine it for a bit to realize it's not original Nintendo brand housing.

Cons: the fix is a tid bit tight not too tight but not quite right either.
it goes together well enough buy you can't e afraid to apply some needed gentle force to the parts that snap together and the screws to get everything good and flush.

Other: if you have a old ds lite and can't warrant purchasing your self a 3DS at this moment in time and have the technical know how to disassemble and releasable small electronics properly then but this.
novices should stay away unless you have some practice first this can end badly.

Pros: Great replacement for your old case, everything was easy to put together. - Looked nice - Came with extra parts such as (screws,buttons, rubber adhesives, etc)

Cons: The DS won't close tightly when folded which annoys me a little, but you'll get used to it. - No hinge axle (in case your old one broke)

Other: Overall, great case for the right price.

Pros: Great kit that comes with most/all of what you need for replacing the DS case. The material quality was excellent, and felt sturdy.

Cons: Be carefull when you dissamble your DS, keep as many parts whole as possible. You might need some of them later. Also try to remember how it was assembled, since there is no assembly instructions included. I found a video tutorial on Youtube that showed most of it.
You need to be handy with tools and small parts, and be patient. It took me almost two hours to change the case.

Other: All in all a excellent item for the money, if you are a handyman.
