Full Replacement Housing Case for NDS Lite (Black)

Pros: Good fit, screws etc included looks likethe real housing or a really well manufactured copy.

Cons: Lower screen surround (stick-on) not supplied but top one was? (Not an issue if transferring from a black one, mine was white) Would be very difficult for a 'novice' to change. For the minimal extra costs involved, a triwing driver should be included in the price.

Other: If yours is scratched / hinge broken and have the know-how, buy it!

Pros: On the outside it looks exactly like the original. Nobody will ever see that it isn't an original housing. Installation isn't difficult if you take enough time for it. Screws are also included with regular phillips heads. You'll never need a Nintendo screwdriver again to open your DS.

Cons: Botton screen ring isn't included. Don't use this if you simply want to change the color of your DS.
If you don't take enough time for it you'll most likely break or damage your new housing or your DS's inner parts.
Had to cut off a small piece of plastic on the part that houses the buttons that was in the way to make room for the rubber pad under some of the buttons or it wouldn't fit. (the piece is smaller on the original housing)
Buttons have the markings printed on them instead of molded in them so I'd suggest re-using your original buttons as the markings will most likely wear off after a while.

Other: Good replacement if your DS is all scratched up, or if your hinge is broken.
Build quality is slightly lower than the original. You'll have to cut off some pieces to make everything fit. Other than that it looks really good.

Pros: Great replacement case if you're looking to replace a cracked hinge or change colour. Looks authentic.

Cons: It can be tricky to replace if you're not sure what you're doing, like I was. Take your time and follow instructions very carefully. You can find several guides online.

Other: It bears repeating, follow instructions carefully and you should be fine.

If you're confident or like customizing your stuff, buy it.

Pros: great quality no problems with it better than most other shells gloss almost looks like oem

Pros: Very good quality, the hinge is a bit more tight than OEM making the DS feel more solid.

Cons: It's not a perfect replica, my solid external shell no longer fits the top screen and I had to reuse the metal hinge bits from my old case. It's not a simple process, but if you have patience it's not all that tough to do.

Other: If you are comfortable with taking small things like the DS apart and not misplacing bits and pieces, this case is a great way to go to fix or customize your DS.

Pros: has every piece needed to replace original shell

Cons: price dropped after i bought it!

Other: get one. a lot cheaper than buying a new ds. DIY guides are all over the internet, jusy google it. Youtube has videos to walk you through step by step.

Pros: this product isnt Official and its not even close to official, the feel of it seems rather cheap everything looks the same but doesnt feel the same.

Cons: the outside shell of the ds doesnt have a glossy plastic thing like the the real ds. its just a black plastic that looks glossy

Other: be careful when you buy this product, make sure you know what to do before you try it, thats my advice.

Pros: I am extremely pleased with this purchase, I bought this because the infamous cracked hinge developed on my son's DS and when I received it I realized this is an OEM case buttons and all so the replacement was flawless no difference then the stock casing.

Cons: I have absolutely no complaints with this case.

Other: If you have problems with the casing on your DS buy this casing you will NOT be disappointed.

Pros: Based on some other reviews I thought I should offer my opinion. Build quality looks like official product. I hesitated based on other reviews but because of the low price I thought I would risk it. Quality is not an issue.
I needed a replacement as part of my original cracked. I was able to mix and match between my old pieces and this new one for a truly custom housing :)
Screw holes were a bit tight but ultimately worked.

I'm no expert, took me 3 hours since I did not replace ribbon correctly and had to take it apart a few times :P

Product and price are excellent, with patience you will not be disappointed.

Cons: minor issues, screw holes very tight, instructions would be nice.
neither of these should deter anyone.

Other: you certainly can't go wrong for $20 and no shipping for this product.

Pros: whole packakge was in a fairly decent retail looking box extremely cheap housing for the nintendo ds lite. everything fit perfectly well and looks almost like the original. i had both the top screen ring and bottom screen ring in the package

came with all the screws in a neat baggings. even came with the metal plate thingy for the gba slot

Cons: Slight differences in the final look, but hey, it's not an official housing.

Other: this is a great replacement for someone with a broken hinge. Perfect project for someone as long as you are comfortable with fragile electronics and not afraid of breaking the ds lite
