Full Replacement Housing Case with Buttons and Screws for NDS Lite (Bottle Green + Black)

Pros: The color is unique and very striking. I bought this to replace an early NDS Lite with cracked hinge syndrome, and it is nice to have a "unique" color of DS. The holographic folded fabric effect in the product photos is exactly what it looks like in real life. All extra screws with it are Phillips instead of tri-wing.

Cons: Poor quality and fitment. The plastic is a different type than the OEM DS casing. It is lighter, thinner, and more flexible than the original. The plastic feels cheap, flexes easily even when assembled, and squeaks like mad as you handle the assembled DS. Moulding of the screw holes is very poor - On mine, the screw hole in slot 1 is too big and none of the OEM or provided screws fit. Rubber feet are not adhesive backed, and must be glued into place. Stylus silo is extremely loose, and the stylus just falls out. Mine came with molding sprue all over the bottom casing, which had to be removed carefully. Also, the notches for wire routing are incorrect and will not hold the microphone/WiFi wires in place making reassembly very difficult.

Other: The cost of this item is very high for what amounts to extremely poor quality. I wound up re-using my original DS lower casing because the one provided in this kit is so bad it's basically unusable.
