Pros: I had this console couple days ago and first feelings was that this is ok for it's price. Small screen but quite ok. I have no experience of other consoles so i can't compare. Charger worked also in europe++. Nice carrying bag.

Cons: That extra game disk didn't work, or i don't know how to use it. There was no instructions at all, but i guess that almost everyone can use this, because there is not too many buttons.

Other: i recommended this for anyone who likes old games.

  • good little system for the price

Pros: Pros: -handy little famicom/nes emulator in a tight gameboy advance sp form factor - good selection of nes games included on the system -better selection of nes games included on the cartridge -uses standard GBA sp charger to recharge the internal battery - can't beat the price - fairly ggod build quality for the price

Cons: cons: - built in games have controls reversed (ie. "B" button should be "A" button)... but the included 328 in 1 cartridge fixes this problem - "gb light" sticker on the front is prone to fall off (rough up the underlying plastic to get the sticker to stay put) - feels lighter than the original gba sp - although the onestation elite cartridges have the same number of pins, the games are not interchangable - comes with a european power supply (why? the system itself outputs North American NTSC...) although this is easily remedied because the system is compatible with a GBA SP adapter (if you have one)

Other: For less than 1/2 the price of a PS3 or xbox 360 game, you can get a really sexy nes emulator in a great form factor... much better IMO than the onestation or onestation elite form factor. Screen is nice and bright, with no dead or permanantly lit pixels. An overall 4 out of 5 for this cool chinese homage to the venerable GBA sp.

  • Awesome value for money!

Pros: Comes with everything you need, including internal battery, charger, TV out cable, and even a little cloth bag, inscribed with 'GB Station Light' in white letters, so everyone will know that you're too poor to be able to afford a real GameBoy :-) The console has 111 games built into it's memory, and also comes with another cartridge which has 388 more 'selections' on it - a grand total of 499 'selections' (I use selections, because there are quite a few repeats on the cart, and some of those don't work (blank screen)) The TV out, as you'd expect, replicates what you see on the screen of the console, and slaps it onto your TV screen, so you can play it like a regular 80'/90's Nintendo, and the volume is constant from the unit, so you adjust it through your TV. Another bonus is that the console screen blanks out after a few seconds (to save battery or the screen? I don't know), when connected to the TV. I bought this to keep around, in case my friends kids keep pestering me to use my DS Lite, 'cos they don't take care of the game, and have added quite a few scratches to my DS Lite's touch screen :-( The screen is very bright and the resolution is good (not that you need Hi-res for these type of games). I've been through the game selection, and it was like being a little kid again, with Donkey Kong and Galaxian, Pacman and shite loads of those games I remember spending my pocket money on in the 80's (Jeeeez, I'm getting old!!) If, like me, you want something to mess around with, when you're bored,or just want to prevent the kids from messing up your 'real' game - BUY IT!!! You cannot get better than this for the money!

Cons: The build quality is a bit 'plasticky', and feels as though it would smash if you dropped it. The control buttons are not very responsive, and take positive pressure to work properly (maybe a drop of silicone under the joypad would solve that, but not a major problem, and it gives you a good excuse when the 'baddy' kills you in the game). The hinge is quite loose, and if your kids, like mine, are a bit heavy handed, care should be taken not to sprain the hinge by overextending it). These points are not major problems, and maybe I've been spoiled by the build and quality of my DS Lite, so I'm just nit-picking

Other: Don't think about it - GET ONE! Wish I'd ordered a couple now - Doh!

Pros: price is cheap, many games to choose, only 1 cartridge to keep track of, has AV cable and Carry bag included along with carry strap to help with dropping. Screen color and resolution is good. worked right out of the box after install of battery.

Cons: europe adapter, need converter for USA, games shown on box (tetris and Dr. Mario) not on game or cartridge. Many games are repeat so not really 380.

Other: Worth the price, would by again even with the cons. bought for 6year old as present, and will be fine. If broken not out too much money.

Pros: Plays Onestation elite games with ease. - looks just like the designer counterpart - Battery life is magnificent - screen is bright and easy to see

Cons: - Buttons are cheap and shifty - Plays only onstation elite games, not original onestation games - does not play GB or GBA games - 380 pre-loaded games are the same 10 or so games over-and-over. And they aren't even good games.

Other: I bought this as a collectable. I played it maybe once or twice, but I've got to say the games on it are terrible, and mostly doubles or triples. I'd recommend this to anyone interested in collectables, but if it's emulation you're after, go for a onestation elite!

Pros: Size is same as GBA SP. Cartridge is very small. Bright screen. Nice package. Package includes all what can need. Very light. Only one dead pixel.

Cons: Battery work about 5 hours. Charger not very good, because contacts too short. When battery run out of power screen begin show something wrong. Tv cable can be better.

Other: For this price you don't find something better. It's very nice to play old school games like Lode Runner, Super Mario, F1 and others.

  • 8 Bit console with NES games

posted by irekk on 10:57:13 G5T 11/05/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Looks like GBA SP, only 20-30 built-in games, very old, only 8 bit NES games. Good LCD screen, good battery life (about 5 hours). In the package you have all you need (charger, screwdriver, TV cable). If you want to play the very basic games, you will be glad. My favorite ROMS are Sonic and Donkey Kong.

Cons: ROMS are very very old, only for fans of 8 bit NES games.

Other: I don't recommend that item

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The only good thing I can come to think of the item that is good, is that it might keep a four year old entertained in the backseat of your car.

Cons: The biggest con is that the item I received wasn't the one wich was show in the pictures here. Instead, I got the "GB Station Light II". I didn't get the punch, the screwdriver or the strap as promised either. It advertisees itself by having 888888 built in games, and 999999 cartridge games, while in reality there's a total of ~150 games combined. also, all the games are mid 80s' games, and are extremely boring. The controls are very stiff, and I think the "R" and "L" buttons are placed there just for show with no real function.

Other: I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
