What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very good build quality, very very good indeed. The box came with the leather case, and the usb 3.0 cable and all. I showed it to some friends and they couldn't believe it wasn't legit (i still think it is, though, it is so perfectly made). The data transfer is really better than my older hard drives and pen drives 2.0, but is still not close to what i read 3.0 would be (600 MB/s), but still quite fast (70 mb/s), while my 2.0 usb gadgets made 23 mb/s top. Also, the Hard Drive came with Samsung official softwares to manipulate the storage of files.
Cons: I've made some research while doing this Review, and found out that USB 2.0 data transfer speed is 480 Mbps (which corresponds to 60 Mb/s) Obs.: Mbps is different from Mb/s, the speed of a USB is measured in Mbps, but REAL SPEED is measured in Mb/s, from which we have "x Mbps = x/8 Mb/s"). USB 2.0 -> 680 Mbps = 60 Mb/s USB 3.0 -> 4,8 Gps = 600 Mb/s If the HD were real usb 3.0, it should transfer at around 600 mb/s, not 70 mb/s like it does, therefore, it is NOT usb 3.0, but usb 2.0. By the way, my notebook has 2 "USB 3.0" plug-ins, and 2 "USB 2.0" plug-ins, and in all four the speed was the same, so yeah, i'm sure this HD is 2.0.
Other: GREAT purchase, would be PERFECT if was really 3.0, but whatever, serves me right, and is really really well made. And beautiful. When possible i will submit pictures of it.
