Golden Chain Pocket Quartz Watch

Pros: This is a lovely little watch, it weighs about 60 grams. There is a nice catch holding the lid closed. Looks brilliant in the colour scheme.
The Chain is nearly a foot (12 inches) long and should be perfect length for most waist coats.
Perfect gift.

Cons: Battery is difficult to replace.

Other: Would recommend this as a good piece of costume jewellery.

Pros: Looks pretty good, very cheap. Ticks fairly loudly (could be a con). Opens nicely with the button and is easy to set.

Cons: I would have preferred a mechanical watch not a quartz, but the waving chairman mao watch was a bit too crass for me. It doesn't seem to keep good time (for a quartz watch) loses a few seconds a day. I would have also preferred it to open sideways (ie the crown is at the right like a wristwatch) so I could pop it open with my thumb while holding it in my right hand. Opening from the top means you have to look at it over the open cover.

Other: If you want a cheap gold pocketwatch, here it is...

Pros: - Cheap - Decent looking for price -

Cons: - Arrived with a dead battery. (FYI, battery access is through the back of ht case, the back pries off, AG5 cell) - Kind of cheap looking up close but fine from a distance. - Build quality seems mediocre but fine for costume jewelry.

Other: This is a good watch for period costumes and you can't beat the price. Just don't expect a high quality timepiece.
