GPS + Dualband GSM Realtime Spy/Anti-Theft Vehicle Tracker

Pros: I bought it to use on my company´s motorcycle (Titan KS 150cc), and it worked very well, I only need to buy a relay (5 pins) to install the alarm, and it works like a charm.

Cons: * Instructions manual isn´t very good * Could have a better price for bulk rate.

Other: I will buy other units to put on the company´s fleet

Pros: lot of features - best ones are electronic fence and alert when electric power is off. also battery low capacity alert is a good one

Other: great device for few money. works like a charm if you understand the commands to set it up

Pros: It works, most of the time.
Very cheap, specially considering other alarms and professional tracking services.
Hability to report position through SMS or internet (I'm using Orange's website gps-trace).
Hability to set-up emergency button (wich sends SMS to pre-configured numbers).
Hability to set-up power-cut function (blocking your vehicle).

Cons: The google-translated manual can make tough men cry. Incomplete and confusing. Worth googling for other online versions of similar equipment (like "TheDoberman).
Easily hackeable by someone who knows the phone number attached to the device (I'm considering not keeping the number stored in my mobile memory, in case it is stolen, even though I'd also have to keep deleting messages exchanged with the device).
Minimum position sampling time of 10 seconds (I'm using the most extreme configuration, 10 sec. each position and 1 minute upload interval).
If fails to upload, those 6 points taken during the 1 minute interval are lost, meaning occasional gaps on your track.
SMS-only interaction, does not accept configuration over the internet.
Mine is not accepting calls (its supposed to answer, hang-up, and send you an SMS with current position).
History function (supposedly able to keep around 4000 points) not functional. It confirms "history upload" but the tracking website does nothing.

Other: If you're looking for a security device for your motorcycle/car, this may be the best option at this price. Every vehicle should have one.
For me, still not a replacement for the insurance.
I would rather pay twice or three the value to get a pro and smooth running device, capable of configuration over the internet, but those are very hard to find. If you know were to get one, please tell.
Don't buy if you're not tech savy (like if you couldn't program your vcr to record or if you take more than 1 minute at the ATM).
I've spent dozens of SMSs until it finally worked (about 5 are necessary).
Now I can check the current position of my motorcycle even on my mobile. \o/

Pros: All in one easy to use device. The battery is quite alright too. If you're familiar with your car or bike's electronics you can combine the sos function with your alarm system. The device is also waterresistant. At least resistant enough for everyday outdoor/motorbike use.

Cons: The manual is very poor. So if your not into reading and trial and error or browsing the web comparing manuals, a simple setup can be quite a hassle. The batery is ok too. But I would like to see a normal type of battery in future models. Where to buy a new one if it's dead, right? A Nokia type or AA, AAA type would be more usefull.

Other: Great device for an great price. Find the best provider for a sim-only subscription in your country and you can start tracking. There are also some free tracking services online; the one I would suggest is gps-trace.com. This one has by far the best interface and functionality. Like downloading trackdata, set alerts by mail and sms and a history online up to a month.

Pros: Good price, good location and easy installation.
I had no trouble setting using mastergeo * with.
With a little notion of English you can easily set.

Cons: I found it very fragile housing, and water could be tough, in my case installed it with a bag Grassland to avoid getting water, since I'm using on a motorcycle.

Other: I recommend the use but not dispense with an insurance too.

Pros: Very good GPS reception, also inside metal boxes.
Two external input sensors. (Ignition and SOS)
Ignition gives alarm on both kinds of changes (with timie stamp); on and off.
Alarm if external voltage is lost. (Kind of third external input, and the fourth type of alarm regarding change in external inputs)
Easy reading on LEDs if GPS reception is Ok, and if the SIM card works properly.
Ring fence gives alarm in both directions (in and out of ring).
Low amounts of data transferred, even if it is using NMEA-like strings in GPRS mode
Very useful response on request of location giving a link to Google Maps. (669 and 668)
Useful output line enables you to send an SMS to give influence on the vehicle. (To stop engine, blow the horn etc)

Cons: Many bugs related with the buffering of data. Some times the data gets delayed, and it takes time to catch back. (Happens for instance if the device moves out and in of mobile coverage.)
If the SOS button is pressed during the above mentioned delay, the delayed track history is given in place of the SOS position.
No ability to require a minimum distance before interval data is sent.
A vibration sensor may turn off GPS, but not GSM. Therefore it is impossible to make the battery last for more than around 30 hours.
Not waterproof.
Difficult to connect the battery cable properly.
The english user manual is a disaster regarding translation. It also contains errors.
Not possible to combine SMS mode and GPRS mode
Security is low. Keep the phone number a secret. There is a pin code, but you can ask the device for the current code (!).
The Pin code of your sim card must be turned off.

Other: To set it up, I recommend using a subscription with unlimited SMS. After it is set up, you should use a prepaid subscription for permanent use.

Pros: To everyone This tracker is very small, allowing to be hidden anywhere in the car or bike. I use the same device to track my car and my bike, but for this, I had to change the connection plug to permit the quick exchange. To Brazil Este rastreador é bem pequeno, possibilitando que seja escondido em qualquer parte do carro ou da moto. Utilizo o mesmo aparelho para rastrear meu carro e minha moto, mas para isto, tive que trocar o plug de conexão para possibilitar a troca rápida.

Cons: To everyone DealExtreme has no spare plugs to sell, which forces who, like me, want to use the device at more than one vehicle. The configuration commands are complex and the manual is a chinese translated into english so rough. To Brazil Deal Extreme não tem plugues sobressalentes para vender, o que obriga quem, como eu, deseja utilizar o aparelho em mais de um veículo. Os comandos de configuração são complexos e o manual é um xingling traduzido para o inglês de forma tosca.

Other:

Pros: Two settings for auto tracking (one for moving state, and another for stopped - autolow). There is a vibration sensor, so even if stopped, it can switch to moving mode. Low power consumption compared with other devices; The device is very accurate. Over speed alarm; internal battery - ! VERY IMPORTANT ! - Detects when the device is removed from vehicle battery (must configure it). Also you can cut-off electricity and oil (but I don't installed to do that). Quick disconnect plug let you use the device temporarily in another device or bag.

Cons: This particular device is only dualband, by mistake I've bought 2 and it doesn't work with Vivo GSM in Brazil, so I'm using one with Claro and another with old Brasil Telecom operator, without any problem.

Pros: I have to say this GPS tracker is one of the most usefulness stuff I have bought.
it´s easy to install by own or you can install by eletronic specialist.
the configuration is by sms, very usefull and practical in case of stay faraway from device. For getting a quick "know How", I advise you read the manual book very carefull, and change the password, choose some cel number.
In the beggining, I also advise to take some cheap sms plan.
I use my GPS Tracker for ensure my car In case of theft, I could easily find it. even the off battery of car, cause the device has a its battery that seems a mobile one, in the other words, it takes a long time for being a low charge.
