GX5.3 4W 7000K 380-Lumen 4-LED White Light Bulb (DC 12V)

Pros: I replaced some 20W halogen bulbs in a light fixture with these, so I can only compare them with the old bulbs. This particular bulbs light is closer in colour to fluorescent bulbs than halogen (~7000K vs. ~3500K), and is *brighter* at every setting of the dimmer controlling the fixture - more so at less than 100% - yes they dim without issue. Obviously 4W/bulb is less power and heat than 20W/bulb. The angle of the spot is virtually identical to the old halogen bulb, and while there are 4 LEDs, the cone of light is very uniform (rather than having separate cones of light from each diode).

Cons: The only con I can think of (in comparison to the halogen bulbs) is initial cost. At almost double that of a halogen bulb, these seem a little pricey - until you factor the probable life span (LEDs have notoriously long lives) and energy savings over that lifespan.

Other: More light. Less power. Longer lasting. Works with dimmer.

Pros: i am starting to replace all my lamps at home for led lights, and these were the first ones to replace my old halogen 20w/30w and 50W lamps. They are wath i was expcting when i ordered them, the light is very similar in brightness to the 20W halogen lamps with the advantage that it expends a lot less energy. In my living room i expend now as much energy with all the led lamps as i was expending with only one of the halogen lamp.

Cons: The price is considerabily higher than the price of an halogen lamp, but i expect to get some money back every month in my electricity bill

Other: Very good purchase

Pros: With enough white light for replace halogen bulbs, this 4W MR16 is exactly as announced; with a driver for use with 12VAC/DC, it is even a bit dimmable so you can regulate the total light received (and reduce the electricity bill even more). Well designed and constructed, it will maintain the four 1W leds cool and will last very long.

Cons: The light is whiter than tipical halogen leds, but for me it is more like natural light from the sun, with CRI 80 it reproduces the colours very well.

Other: If you don't replace your lights with this ones, you are wasting money and electricity as heat on your home. You will recover the money the first year of using them!! (1 hour/day of use)

Pros: Very white light, even if it can be too white for most people. This kind of light is very different from a standard bulb lamp. Anyway I wanted to test them due to their low cost.

Cons: Not so bright, not very useful if you want to use 3 or 4 of them to light a room

Other: A good compromise between cost and quality.
