Pros: So, the first nightrides are completed. And what can I say- I`m very impressed! Previously I used sku.22567 on my handle bars but this one here really lights up the forest. It's as bright as a car head lamp so that you automatically scale down to MID at oncoming traffic. The clicky switch at the back of the housing goes accurate. I opened the housing and there were no flakes, everything was well machined and clean. On HIGH the housing got slightly warm, so the heatsinking should work properly.
Cons: They changed the battery pack holster, so I need some extra velcro straps to attach it on the bar. Extra battery packs are not sold separately... So-finally until now there are no big CONS.
Other: Recommended!

Pros: Fantastic, super duper bright, and good runtime (around 3hrs, as stated) I was wondering what the "great beam pattern" reviewers were on about.... Well in short, there's a spot in the middle, with flood around.... So as you angle the light down onto the ground x number of yards ahead, there is a uniform brightness ahead, starting at the front wheel, and finishing far off in the distance! Feels very solid, machined from metal, not plastic at all..... O-ring mounting on the handlebars is superb.... Simplest of all quick release brackets, and holds firm....
Cons: Gets super hot..... If you're not moving.... as you can see, there are small "grills" machined into the light housing.... this provides great cooling when you're moving, no cooling when you're not.....
Other: Super light... Just as bright at sku25149, i have seen one in action..... i'll be ordering another one soon!!!

Pros: It seems roughly equivalent in brightness to a mate's light which he paid four times a much for. Put together pretty well. Nicely packaged.
Cons: Be nice to have a way to mount the battery to a bike. The unit is pretty lightweight, so the mechanism could be no more complicated than used for most standard LED bike lights (click into a mount that remains attached to the handlebars)
Other: Very happy so far. So long as it continues to work for the next twelve months I'll be rapt - it's amazingly bright.

Pros: I use this light for riding both on and off road, i would definately say full power it far to bright for the road, it is however excellent for off road trails. Medium power is also a little exessive for the road too, however when there are no street lights, medium is perfect! The backlite button is very nice and easy to find at night. Took the light apart to check for swarf as this has been mentioned in reveiws of the other identical light on this site, No sign what so ever! The light actually just seemed to get better as i took more componenets off. The billet machined aluminium body is nicely machined, don't know how they can do it for the price.
Cons: Gets very hot indoors, so i can imagine this would be an issue outside in the summer. Thats all!
Other: This really is a top end light and not just for the money either. Probably not quite 900 lumens but not a million miles away.

Pros: For the price paid, this is an excellent light. The construction appears to be very solid and it work right the first time. For the price this light is exceptionally bright at approximately 700 lumens. I used it on my ride home from work a couple days after I received it and it worked well. It appeared to be brighter than the majority of other lights that I saw in the bike trail. A comparable light in terms of brightness, you would have to spend at least five time the price. I will likely purchase a couple more of these in the near future.
Cons: There are only a few things that I would like to see improved with this light. Amongst the improvements that I would desire would be a longer power cord, or a power cord extension. When the light is helmet mounted, the cord is too short to reach a pocket. The battery needs to be attached to the helmet or if your wearing a hydration pack, one of the shoulder straps. When mounting the light on the handlebar, the short cable length is ideal. When the light is mounted on the handle bars, the beam is not wide enough to accommodate lighting the turns. This cause me to have to slow down considerably so that I can navigate the turn safely. With the width of the beam being a bit too narrow for handle bar mounting, a helmet should be provided. I altered the head strap that was provided with the light so that I could helmet mount the light. No instructions were provided with the light, which is not too much as a problem. I was able to find a manual on a web site that sells the same light.
Other: I will buy more of these lights without hesitation, and I will recommend them to my friends.

Pros: As a helmet light it is ultra bright and goes for a long time .SOS mode seems dumb but it is useful to show your presence ,experience has shown that no matter how bright you will be ignored,SOS mode cannot be ignored and saves batt power .The best feature is the fact the beam is very narrow -this allows for a bright intense beam that allows you to see far ahead on major highways . Spread is not needed in a helmet light as you automatically turn your head where you want to see .
Cons: The unit arrived broken -the glass lens was so thin and the shards of glass drew blood as I removed it . For the price it should have a better or thicker lens or some shock prooofing
Other: excellent light held back by poor glass lens
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Insanely bright for the price. Easy to set up and use. Has different size o rings to allow either handle bar mount or head band.
Cons: Cable a bit short, and comes out frontways from the lamp, but easily sorted with cable tie. Also fitted the battery pack onto the back of the headband, but would be nice to have the cable long enough or an extension to be able to mount on a belt/ backpack
Other: Buy this or the other 5 mode one. They are superb light for the price. Going with the reviews/ beamshots I have seen, they are just as good as the lupine systems but a fraction of the cost.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: very good quality for price good headlight light. Light weight and comfortable A nice even focus beam Lit switch nice touch
Cons: LEADS TOO SHORT Only a little silicone needed in manufature to fully rain proff. Power lead needs to be at side or back
Other: This is a great unit for the price. Full stop, and the few niggles fixable. For an extra 3/4 dollars unit cost these could be fixed in redesign
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great light for this price, works perfectly, easy to use, lightweight und great build quality of nearly all components. Battery life time is not over-estimated, really works für 3 or more hours on high-power level.
Cons: For helmet- or head-use an extension cable is necessary because otherwise the battery pack has to be fixed to the headstrap - unfortunately it is not included. Charger does not seem to bee of high quality, let's see how long it's going to work. 3rd mode (flashing) is kinda useless for me.
Other: I recommend to buy the extension cable when you buy this lamp. It makes the wiring much easier ;-)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Super bright and lasts for around 3 hours. I have it mounted on my handlebars with the batter pack strapped to the frame with elastic straps. Just the right amount of wire for this configuration. Installs in about 30 seconds.
Cons: Buy the extension cable if you want this mounted on your helmet. The stock cable is too short. Also don't know why the cable comes out of the front end of the lamp. No big deal.
Other: You can spend 4 times the money in your local bike shop, or you can buy this. I bought a second one for backup.
